I have the 5 percent in a jell that comes in a tube. Mix it with

the Estrace or the emu oil.

night, sometimes I add emu oil too. I hope it works for you. It deadens the

area a little for me, but it is no permanent cure, and lasts only a few hours,

that is why I am having the injections. I have a very sore spot at the entrance

to the vagina – one of the areas’s which they did yesterday. I didn’t find it

too bad – better than what I expected, but then again I took my med cocktail

right before hand – a pain pill and valium.

Marinane, I cannot count the times I have 'asked' for some meds

to help me through all the blocks or injections and I have never gotten

anything - not one time! I'd say that's why the injection last week was

so painful...*ugh*. I asked if we could use some Lidocaine first - but

Libby said it would take awhile for it to numb me - and we had a five hr. drive

ahead.

Do you have the Lidocaine compounded? I can tolerate the

2% lidocaine and even Libby said that the 2% is very mild. It's the 5%

that I've had trouble with. The 5% is what was used in the studies of the

overnight cottonball treatment (I think it was at Chapel Hill, NC). My

compounded Lidocaine was delivered today. Pete (at Bellevue) said that if

this bothers me at all, to let him know and I could try a soothing base of my

choice, like aloe vera or emu oil, etc.

Hugs, Chelle
