MRI Question

Just wondering . . . when trying to confirm or rule out the possibility of MS,

how important is it to have contrast with the MRI's? I've had a c-spine &

lumbar spine MRI but neither were done with contrast. So far the results have

shown nothing; it got me thinking. The docs have been focusing on ortho and

disc possibilities which is why I guess they haven't ordered contrast, yet, but

could that be keeping them from seeing any other possibilities??? Thoughts . .

.. ideas???

Contrast only shows lesion activity. If there were no lesions to begin with, then contrast is a moot point. Hang in there, getting a dx one way or another is a real pain.http://practical-homeschooling.org
