Guest guest
The place that does my MRIs, etc., tells me and has shown me that theycanget much more accurate detection with contrast material. I cannot have it used on me as most all of them contain idodine, to which I am allergic. If you are not allergic to iodine, it might be wiser for your physician to order alltests done WITH contrast--but, do discuss it with your doctor first!Love,nTo: MSersLife Sent: Sun, September 5, 2010 8:32:45 AMSubject: Re: MRI Question Contrast only shows lesion activity. If there were no lesions to begin with, then contrast is a moot point. Hang in there, getting a dx one way or another is a real pain.http://practical-homeschooling.org www.laurascoolstuff.com Just wondering . . . when trying to confirm or rule out the possibility of MS, how important is it to have contrast with the MRI's? I've had a c-spine & lumbar spine MRI but neither were done with contrast. So far the results have shown nothing; it got me thinking. The docs have been focusing on ortho and disc possibilities which is why I guess they haven't ordered contrast, yet, but could that be keeping them from seeing any other possibilities??? Thoughts . . . ideas???
