It really is good for a lot of things. It comes back from time to time and I use the stuff and it really helps. I first got it when my Baker's cyst ruptured and caused my leg to become very swollen for a few months. It got worse when I had arthroscopic surgery on my knee (same leg) but I did physical therapy for several weeks and it did not get too bad. The Blue Emu helps tremendously. My son had it and he swears by compression stockings to alleviate the pain but I think wearing those things would drive me up the wall.
