Guest guest
Almost any kind of an oral antihistamine I think would help Emma, I've had some of the least expensive around the house and they've helped. The OTC's work as well as the prescription ones (so says Consumer Report) and contain 'Loratadine', the same ingredient as in the priceier prescriptions. Also you might consider the OTC "Benedryl 'Gel' that's applied externally. One member told me that helped her the most. There is a difference between 1st and 2nd generation antihistamines and from what I've read... those that may make you more drowsy (the 1st) are actually better, because during sleep the cytokines that cause the inflammation and part of the histamine release, also tend to sleep but the others may work as well.
