Guest guest
My friend's mom (who's 80 years old) fell and broke her hip and they said she has a fracture. She also has a heart condition. Otherwise, she's in decent health. My friend's asking me what things he can give his mom to recover faster from a fracture. Anyone have experiences with fractures and how to speed up recovery? Are there any kinds of foods to eat that will help it move faster? Guest guest
If she can get HBOT that should help a lot. Also look into low level laser therapy - also called 'soft' or 'cold' laser. Usually expensive to buy but some chiros/osteopaths use them in clinics, or there may even be some places you can hire them out for a while. We have this one at home – much cheaper than usual `full' soft lasers (this one has LED lights instead), we have used it for pulled muscles, bruises and burns and it works great. I have not used it for fractures so cannot guarantee, but unless the fracture is very keep and hard to reach it should work… http://www.sota.com/lightworks.html Vitamin D is good for preventing fractures, not sure if it is of any help for healing? If she is on calcium blockers for her heart condition those meds might slow bone healing process… Natasa >> My friend's mom (who's 80 years old) fell and broke her hip and they said> she has a fracture.
