As you well know, we MSers have malfunctioning internal thermostats. I suffer with the heat like most of us do but I also freeze. In the winter I freeze/shake so bad. I don't freeze when the weather is real hot because I guess my body recognizes it as hot (I'm talking 80s and 90s). But when it cools a little my body freaks out. lol For example, today it is breezy and 74. I am shaking! I am seriously thinking I should put on my slippers. Winter is misery for me because I suffer so much with the cold. Not only do I get extremely cold but my toes turn colors and I have to use those little heat packs inside my slippers to warm my toes. When I get cold like that I get really sleepy and start yawning like crazy. When I

get real cold I have a terrible time warming back up.When we have this type of weather in the spring and fall I change clothes all during the day trying to stay warm and my body thermostat does it's up and down stuff. Does this happen to you, Jackie, when it is really hot or only when the weather is a little cooler to cold? hugsSharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Hey everyone,......I don't know if this is an MS thing or not, and hopefully someone can shed some light on these symptoms that have been plaguing me for just about a year now.

Every day around 4 pm I start to get freezing cold. All the body parts that aren't covered turn to ice. I usually lay down around 6 pm, and of course I am warm under the covers, except lately my upper body has been shivering even under the covers. I sleep for an hour or so, then up until around 11 pm I stay cold. After 11 pm, its like someone lights a match under me, and I feel the warmth coming back into my hands, and the rest of the cold areas. I stay warm again all the way until the next day and the whole cycle starts over again right at 4 pm. I'm thinking its hormonal, or something to do with menopause, circadian rthyms, diabetes, thyroid, neuropathy, my heart or ???

Another new thing is I'm falling asleep every day now at 1 pm, and I never use to do that either.

Any ideas? I've searched and searched for answers and I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced any of this too?

I will see my PCP about this, but she probably won't have any answers either unless something shows up on a blood test.

Hugs and Love, Jackie

May the peace of God be with you...the love of Jesus enfold you...and the Spirit of Christ fill you.
