Guest guest
Cait, If you click on Start and then Programs or All Programs, should be right above the start button. Left Click the Programs or All Programs (whichever you have), that will pop out a list of all the programs installed on your computer. Somewhere in that list (it could be a long one, depending) you will find Outlook Express. (I don't think it's buried under another grouping, but can't be positive because I didn't install Outlook Express to begin with, I use Mozilla Thunderbird - it's more secure than Outlook Express) When you find it in the list, mouse over the Outlook Express and then right click on that. That in turn will pop out another list of things you can do. There will be a Send To: in the list with a little right pointing arrowhead, that will pop out yet another list (and your just about finished) find the Desktop (create shortcut) and it will send a shortcut for your Outlook Express to your desktop. You can use that to open your email without having to bother with Outlook. It might very well, after you've used the shortcut from the desktop a few times, move it into the list above the start button.. I used to know exactly "how to" put it back where you are now seeing Outlook appear, but alas and alack, I have brain warts and my memory of that just ran right out my ear.. Sorry on that one. This e-mail which you sent to our group has come from shaw.ca, and came through just fine, Cait. My daughter gave me her Microsoft Office 07 which is great for the Excel, etc. But I seem to have to to change my Outlook Express and I'm afraid I'll lose all my saved email. Anyone know? Most of the emails I send from shaw.ca online are bouncing back to me .... hugs, Cait
