Dear Listmates,Here is a video explaining a web based ABA program called “Skills.” It is offered from the Center for Autism and Related Disorders(C.A.R.D.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1 & v=v3Kov4Sx7mE It may be what I was hoping to do to help your children educationally and behaviorally. I’m thrilled it may already be done, so you can use it now with your children. I can’t help but believe if If it is paired with medical treatment, it could be the answer we need for many children suffering from autism. They have an online program to teach skills our kids need that costs $75 a month for home use and seems to be free for schools. I haven’t checked it out thoroughly but maybe some of you should to see if it is appropriate to use with your kids. Also check out CARD’s website. http://www.drdoreentv.com/ I was told about this by Mindi who taught me the techniques needed to help . I was trying to enlist her expertise to help me create a video on ABA to train parents. It seems it is no longer necessary for me to do the video or create the needed programs to help our kids because it has already done by CARD. The office of CARD is right next to Dr. G’s office. It sounds like they run an organization that gives one stop shopping to families. The kind of things we are all looking for your children and many of the same things we did at home to help . The weird coincidence is I was first told about Dr. G from a letter in the Autism Society of America written by Bryce Miler who now works for CARD. Now if that isn’t coming full circle I don’t know what is.Best,Marcia
