Consumer Reports finds arsenic and lead in fruit juices. By Rock Consumer Reports 30 November 2011Consumer Reports found that 10 percent of apple and grape juice samples had arsenic levels exceeding federal drinking-water standards and 25 percent had lead levels higher than the limit for bottled water. Most of the arsenic was inorganic, which is a human carcinogen. The organization is calling for government standards to limit consumers’ exposure to these toxics.

Would organic apple juice be safe? What kind of juice would be ok? Just

wondering if anyone is changing juices because of this. My grandson only has a

couple of ounces of organic apple juice a day just to mix his supplements in.

Otherwise he drinks water only. His last toxic metals urine test showed high

lead and arsenic. He is almost 3 and ASD.

Someone I know just posted on FB that Walmart's brank apple juice had the lowest count of arsenic and lead. I don't know what their ingredients look like, though...-Tammy To: mb12valtrex Sent: Friday, December 2, 2011 5:36 PM Subject: Re: Consumer Reports finds

It's Walmart's NOT from concentrate apple juice that is sourced in the USA that scored best.
