Guest guest
Hi Channa, Thank you so much for all your support. I am also gonna get the book and check the website. I used to give him l-carnitine and he would get a little aggressive on that so I stopped it. But I will try again. The nystatin he is on is compounded by hopewell pharmacy and is sugar free, gfcf and dye free. It is in capsule form and contains nystatin powder in microcrystalline cellulose capsule. I am looking into goldenseal. Our dan had prescribed alinia but it is not available these days even from the manufacturer. So now we are waiting for vancomycin oral but of course I am scared of using it although my friend has used it for her son's clostridia and had great results. I am going to add sacc.boulardii as well. Curcumin 450 mg at a time is helping with his symptoms. Now he is waking up in the middle of the night crying and when calms down laughs nonstop. I am thinking parasites also as we will have the full moon soon. I was hoping for alinia as it would help both anaerobes and parasites. I have read on forum that people did not have good results with metronidazole. Plus it gives metallic taste otherwise it would have been good for some parasites as well as anaerobes. At one point I was doing a lot of herbs and when my son worsened, I lost interest. But I will look into it again as this time maybe he is ready for naturals. Guest guest
yah naturals can have bad reactions too...If your son didnt do good on l-carnitine maybe you try other stuff first? inappropriate laughing is a sign of yeast as im sure you know...nyastatin only works for yeast in the gut..as far as i know...I will keep my eye out on other antifungals...have you heard of something called lauricidin? that came to my mind just now for some reason.. what about humaworm for parasites? so many people had great results with it including me. channa To: mb12valtrex Sent: Saturday, December 3, 2011 11:13 AMSubject: Re: uncontrollable crying, tantrums and pain - please advise Hi Channa,Thank you so much for all your support. Guest guest
also...not to bash on homeopathy (as this will be my next passion for sure as soon i get mo money for books..) but i have heard andy cutler talk about the homeopathic metals driving metals further into brain...not saying he is right..but it is something to consider...a year ago i was under a homepath for short time..my son got a fever and she gave me some beladonna to bring fever down. the fever was gone the next day. that was a year ago he never got fever since (until tonight which i am head over heels about)..so im not sure that it was a good thing...maybe i should have let the fever develop...let the fever fight the nasty genetic freak viruses in my sons body I think its important to listen to our gut about stuff..usually we are right. i have beladonna in my cupboard still..but I will be treating this fever as the cleansing healing reaction it is and let it do its job. bel;adonna will be for emergency only. channa To: mb12valtrex Sent: Saturday, December 3, 2011 6:35 AMSubject: Re: Re: uncontrollable crying, tantrums and pain - please advise The master herbalist solomon wickey is i believe the one she spoke of in her book you have to write for appointment and takes a long time appointment .we were lucky when i first found her book she did a few consults with our son from a photo she is lovely un fortunately we still have a millon miles to go it was her that introduced me to parasites!!! def going to give pendulum another go. Guest guest
Hi is,Personally it doesn't sound like clostridia to me yet. When my son isnt flaring clostridia, he is really pretty well behaved...when it flares, it is really a nightmare. Have you done an OAT test? There is a clostridia marker that may help you determine clostridia. My kids both had really high clostridia markers when they had their "clostridia behaviors and poop". Unless the behaviors and the stool really deteriorate, I wouldn't use vanco or flagyl (we used both) until you could get an OAT test back to confirm. I wouldnt want to use those if it turned out to be yeast die off or acid reflux/heartburn. The S. Boulardii probiotic is supposed to work against clostridia so you could also try that to see if it helps (we started at 1 cap/day and moved up...be aware though some kids cant tolerate it). But first, i think you should try to find out if it is pain related to yeast die off/reflux/heartburn (the charcoal worked for awhile right?) or can he not tolerate the Nystatin. Maybe you could add another charcoal during the day or when he wakes up at night? I have heard of other parents using charcoal more then once / day although someone here wrote something about using it only once / week? Maybe ask your dr on that one. Our PT who had yeast issues says that for some people they can feel pain in their throat/mouth when yeast is dying off so this could be an indication that it is helping. Also, you said his focus is better so that would be a sign it is helping. For the pain, Channa had a good idea about the baking soda to see if this helps. On the loose stool, what color is it? Darker color is usually an indication of bacteria (green is viral and yellowish is yeast/poor fat absorption..according to what we have seen and what one of our drs. has said). The undigested food and silliness made me wonder if his yeast is getting worse and he just doesnt tolerate Nystatin or his pain his overcoming his immune system? Keep an eye out for this if it goes on longer then the 10day-2week die off period. We just finished a month of Amphetericin B antifungal and I am pretty sure he didnt tolerate it well bc. his behavior and stool deteriorated and he was better once we stopped. Right now we are using the following for the gut:-VSL#3 probiotics (good for oxalates and clostridia) -- 2x/day-3Lac probiotics (fights yeast) - 2x/day-Cytoflora-different enzymes (Trienza, Nophenol, will try soon Virastop, Lypogold (lipase)-Trying to get the zinc up (i've read that you cant control yeast until you get the zinc up...but i think Channa is right that it will be very difficult to get the gut really under control until you start getting metals out)-Enhansa-Other Immune supplements (lysine, D, A, C etc)Hope this helps!I've decided to try to work more on the immune system and enzymes route bc. the antifungals/antibs tend to get my son more out of whack. AND hopefully start AC chelation soon....However when he did have this last major clostridia flare this summer (brought on by the dr. giving Nystatin and adv. biocidin and nothing for clostridia -- which was already slightly elevated in his OAT), it was finally the higher doses of flagyl(clostridia) and Sporonox(yeast) that got things under control in the end..... To: mb12valtrex Sent: Sunday, December 4, 2011 5:28 PM Subject: Re: uncontrollable crying, tantrums and pain - please advise Hi , The hugs are not silly and he just keeps bringing his face to mine or his dad's as if he is trying to say something and seems to be in some physical or emotional distress. Today he has been complaining of chest pain all day on and off. He pulls his shirt away from his chest and rubs on it. If I want to see that area, he starts laughing hysterically as if he is very hypersensitive at that spot and my touch feels like I am tickling him. He was more on the constipated side by which I mean that he is having his BMs late in the day although he keeps asking to go to "Pee Pee", sits for sometime, urinates a little or sometimes none. Before I was giving him magnesium glycinate 100 mg once a day but dan recommended 300 mg to be given together for a laxative effect. I tried that for the last 4-5 days and it is working and actually today he got loose stools with undigested food after lunch. I had given him 100 mg of mag with breakfast and 200 mg with lunch. Yesterday, before the activated charcoal he was so uncomfortable that he didn't eat much till he had a huge BM. But today, he is very hungry and silly. At the same time, his focus is good as he did well during our work session. Started a little crying episode but that stopped when I gave him a snack as he seemed hungry. I searched on internet for clostridia symptoms and mostly found aggression as the biggest one. My son is getting cranky and throwing tantrums easily and he gets mad once in a while when his baby sister doesn't leave him alone. For him, this could be aggression as he is usually a passive boy. , what did you use for clostridia? We tried to get Alinia but manufacturer is out of stock and it will probably be available next year. We are thinking about Vancomycin but it scares me. We tried biocidin this spring with very poor results (severe regression in speech, behavior and understanding). I have tried naturals in the past but scared to use them again. Do you have any suggestions? Guest guest
Thanks . Your post is very helpful. The first OAT we did was in December 2010 with metamatrix which was negative for clostridial markers but was positive for aerobic overgrowth. Then he had appendicitis and received a course of augmentin. He then did a 8 week course of biocidin which completely messed up his bowels and he lost his spontaneous speech. Repeat OAT with great plains showed yeast markers but was negative for clostridial markers. Stool CDSA done with oat showed no lactobacillus despite the fact that he was on 6 caps of culturelle a day and 1 packet of vsl3 just 3-4 days before the stool test. He has been on nystatin since mid september. One theory is that if you don't see any Lactobacillus in stool, it is probably a result of clostridial overgrowth. But I completely agree with you on repeating OAT. We were about to start vancomycin but insurance didn't approve it on friday and even though I was frustrated, I was thinking that everything happens for a reason and maybe he doesn't need it and something else is going on with him. Then we felt it was reflux/die off and relief with act.charcoal kinda confirmed it. This is the reason I keep asking all the moms what clostridia looks like? I will request for a repeat OAT and possibly CDSA. We are also doing a test for metals soon. I gave him activated charcoal twice today and it helped again. His pain is definitely better with that. As per Channa's advice, I gave him baking soda before bed. Couldn't give benadryl as he already took melatonin and was already comfortable. Hopefully poor kid will get some sleep tonight as he has a long day at school tomorrow. , what is the reason for using 3 different probiotic brands? I have posted a lot of questions about probiotics also on my other post. I think I need some serious education on probiotics. Also why do you use multiple enzymes? My son takes trienza 1 capsule with meals everyday. Am I doing the right thing with enzymes or I should change something? Thanks a lot for all the support is > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; is i cant say for sure but first thing that pops into my head is acidosis..the friuty breath and fruity stool...horrible tummy pain...I talked about my bakin soda/benedryl combo that worked so well for my son...it soothes tummy pain and inflammation..i would think you should try it for your son. > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; i think the antifungals are hard on a poor little boys body...my first guess would be it is the antifungals themselves that are reacting with him. can your son handle grapeseed extract? or pau d arco? if it is just die off it shouldnt last more then two weeks. that is my experience for die off > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; channa > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; ________________________________ > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; From: alexis_d3378 & lt;alexis_d3378@ & gt; > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; To: mb12valtrex > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; Sent: Thursday, December 1, 2011 10:12 PM > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; Subject: uncontrollable crying, tantrums and pain - please advise > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; ÃÆ'ÂÆ'Æ'ÃÆ'†'ÃÆ'ÂÆ'¢ÃÆ'¢â€šÂ¬ÃÆ'…¡ÃÆ'ÂÆ'Æ'ÃÆ'¢â‚¬Å¡ÃÆ'ÂÆ'‚ÃÆ'‚ & nbsp; > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; Hi everyone, > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; My son is on anti yeast treatment and now for the last 5 days he is getting uncontrollable crying spells with screaming, jumping up and down, asking me to rock him and kiss him again and again. Guest guest
Hi is,The cytoflora supposedly helps get the gut ready for probiotics and we are using 3Lac bc it supposedly helps more with yeast while VSL3 is indicated for clostridia. I'm still trying to figure out the probiotics too but at the moment this plan is helping. I also throw in a few Klaire's brand probiotics if i feel like they are flaring or i have given them too many carbs like yesterday. On the enzymes, I noticed that their stool became more formed as i increased them. Be careful bc i have heard too many enzymes can cause constipation and it sounds like your son leans that way so go slowly if you want to try increasing. Some of our test results indicated that they have poor fat absorption (and yellowish stool is an indicator) and i have been trying to find a supplement with more lipase for this so will try lypogold. Since the digestive enzymes help food digestion and undigested food can feed/create bugs i wanted to look more into the enzymes. The virastop is a different enzyme for the immune system and they both need immune boosting. With my kids, the struggle has been keeping them both in balance (yeast/clostridia) so I am more wary now of using anything that directly kills one or the other...the good sign for you is that your son never showed positive for clostridia whereas both of my kids have showed positive for both yeast and clostridia. Hope this helps! To: mb12valtrex Sent: Sunday, December 4, 2011 9:52 PM Subject: Re: uncontrollable crying, tantrums and pain - please advise Thanks . He has developed a tendency towards constipation but does go at least once a day with the help of magnesium. He is urinating a lot and is always thirsty. Guest guest
Thanks ! I will talk to our dan tomorrow regarding tests and will also discuss cytoflora and probiotic combo for him. My son also has somewhat yellowish stools but they don't float. I will look into the enzymes you are using also. Guest guest
Hi is,I just wanted to pitch in a couple of thoughts-1. Cuturelle is a noncolonizing bacteria so it would not necesarily make you increase any beneficial strains ( CDSA)2. Have you tried molybdenum? The soreness in the chest -particularly near solar plexus- can reflect chemical sensitivity for us. Molybdenum is not a binder but can really help with detox.Sent from my iPhon Thanks . Your post is very helpful. The first OAT we did was in December 2010 with metamatrix which was negative for clostridial markers but was positive for aerobic overgrowth. Guest guest
I'm not sure what is in VSL 3 but I have heard it's good stuff. We use plain b bifidus. Any of the other acidophilous/ bifidus / pactobacillis strains should colonize. I have just heard the culturelle does not ( but it is absolutely the best at impacting nasty bacteria by blocking it out)You can read about molybdenum a number of places but one author who gives a good explanation is Jepson in his book-"Changing the Course of Autism"We use molybdenum S by nutrawest. I have used just I pill per day when I felt like he was really toxic. Hope this is helpful!Sent from my iPhoneOn Dec 5, 2011, at 1:56 PM, "alexis_d3378" wrote: Thanks for responding. Guest guest
Thanks ! I just found out that vitaspectrum that my son takes has 100 mcg of molybdenum. Does he need to take molybdenum separately? is > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; alexis I was lookin thru my notes and came across something that yo > > >
Guest guest
So my son was finally able to sleep through the night after I gave him 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda in 3 oz of water. This morning I gave him nystatin and supplements at 7 and then charcoal at 8:20 am before school. I was too scared to let him go to school without it as he started to get cranky again. Survived the school day and then in the afternoon, I again gave him nystatin with supplements and had to give him charcoal in 1 hour and 15 minutes. This is the best I could do to separate supps, meds and charcoal. His dan said that one hour gap is enough. He got his epsom salt foot soak(thanks to Tammy) and he is getting baking soda before he goes to bed. Overall he focused better in speech session and seems more verbal but has a lot of echolalia going on. Since I started activ.charcoal, he is stimming more but overall more cooperative. Today the pain complaint is mainly in both sides of chest with increased sensitivity but atleast he had no big tantrums. Since we were discussing behaviors which indicate different pathogens, I thought I will give some details of my son's negative behaviors. On the way to school, he cries every time the bus driver stops for other kids and cries even more when he has to wait in the school bus in front of the school. During shower, he tries to keep shampoo and other stuff in order and in a certain position. He wipes his mouth after every sip of water. Overall he is acting like the way he was at the age of 4-5, when he was more verbal but had some ocd, anxiety and resistance to change. He is even repeating the names of his classmates and teachers from preschool and other favorite words from that time. Seems like a stroke patient who is getting some of his memory back. So the return of ocd, anxiety, resistance to change, anger when things don't go his way and echolalia alongwith better eye contact, focus and some speech(kind of where he was before regression), does that mean we are treating yeast or other microbes are growing while we are treating yeast and giving negative behaviors? Thanks is > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; is i cant say for sure but first thing that pops into my head is acidosis..the friuty breath and fruity stool...horrible tummy pain...I talked about my bakin soda/benedryl combo that worked so well for my son...it soothes tummy pain and inflammation..i would think you should try it for your son. > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; i think the antifungals are hard on a poor little boys body...my first guess would be it is the antifungals themselves that are reacting with him. can your son handle grapeseed extract? or pau d arco? if it is just die off it shouldnt last more then two weeks. that is my experience for die off > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; channa > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; ________________________________ > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; From: alexis_d3378 & lt;alexis_d3378@ & gt; > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; To: mb12valtrex > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; Sent: Thursday, December 1, 2011 10:12 PM > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; Subject: uncontrollable crying, tantrums and pain - please advise > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; ÃÆ'Æ'ÂÆ'ÃÆ'†'ÃÆ'Æ'†'ÃÆ'Æ'ÂÆ'ÃÆ'‚ÂÂ\ ¢ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃÆ'¢Â€ÂšÃÆ'‚¬ÃÆ'Æ'ÂÃ\ ¢â‚¬Â¦ÃƒÆ'‚¡ÃÆ'Æ'ÂÆ'ÃÆ'†'ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃÆ'¢Ãâ\ €šÃ¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃÆ'…¡ÃÆ'Æ'ÂÆ'ÃÆ'¢Â€ÂÅ\ ¡ÃÆ'Æ'‚ÃÆ'‚ & nbsp; > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; Hi everyone, > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; My son is on anti yeast treatment and now for the last 5 days he is getting uncontrollable crying spells with screaming, jumping up and down, asking me to rock him and kiss him again and again. When asked what happened, he says " it hurts " and points to his belly. Sometimes points to both sides of his chest. He has developed a tendency towards constipation but does go at least once a day with the help of magnesium. He is urinating a lot and is always thirsty. Each episode of crying lasts for at least 15 minutes and advil seems to help in minutes. His breath is fruity and his stool smells fruity or sugary or maybe acetone like. Sometimes the smell is just awful and it is hard to describe. He is having a lot of visual stims and he is always trying to make everything a bicycle and wants to ride something or climb something. His skin especially on the chest is very sensitive and tries to pull his shirt away from skin sometimes. His episode at school was so bad that I had to take him to the pediatrician which was useless as we all know how that usually goes. I was wondering if it is clostridia? Recently I had posted on the forum when he had just anxiety and crying and Channa suggested that it was clostridia and told me to go up on culturelle which helped. But now his symptoms are uncontrollable. Is it clostridia or it could be severe fungal die off or even viral die off as he is also receiving some treatment that would help eradicate viruses? I was thinking that abdominal discomfort, increased sensitivity to pain, anxiety, ocd and tantrums are related to anaerobic overgrowth from what I have read so far and what our dan explained. And also when we treat yeast, clostridia can go crazy. But I wanted to ask the experienced moms what they think of my son's symptoms. > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; Thanks > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; is > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; > > > > > > & gt; & gt; > > > > > > & gt; > > > > > >

Guest guest
is, Nystatin is derived from a strep http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nystatin It was not until we got rid of all the strep, nystatin, good probiotics etc that strep titers came down here. The ocd behaviors you describe seem typical strep related. > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; is i cant say for sure but first thing that pops into my head is acidosis..the friuty breath and fruity stool...horrible tummy pain...I talked about my bakin soda/benedryl combo that worked so well for my son...it soothes tummy pain and inflammation..i would think you should try it for your son. > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; i think the antifungals are hard on a poor little boys body...my first guess would be it is the antifungals themselves that are reacting with him. can your son handle grapeseed extract? or pau d arco? if it is just die off it shouldnt last more then two weeks. that is my experience for die off > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; channa > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; ________________________________ > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; From: alexis_d3378 & lt;alexis_d3378@ & gt; > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; To: mb12valtrex > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; Sent: Thursday, December 1, 2011 10:12 PM > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; Subject: uncontrollable crying, tantrums and pain - please advise > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; ÃÆ'Æ'ÂÆ'ÃÆ'†'ÃÆ'Æ'†'ÃÆ'Æ'ÂÆ'ÃÆ'‚ÂÂ\ ¢ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃÆ'¢Â€ÂšÃÆ'‚¬ÃÆ'Æ'ÂÃ\ ¢â‚¬Â¦ÃƒÆ'‚¡ÃÆ'Æ'ÂÆ'ÃÆ'†'ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃÆ'¢Ãâ\ €šÃ¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃÆ'…¡ÃÆ'Æ'ÂÆ'ÃÆ'¢Â€ÂÅ\ ¡ÃÆ'Æ'‚ÃÆ'‚ & nbsp; > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; Hi everyone, > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; My son is on anti yeast treatment and now for the last 5 days he is getting uncontrollable crying spells with screaming, jumping up and down, asking me to rock him and kiss him again and again. Guest guest
I am wondering if the behaviors are from where he regressed and you said you are having positives? maybe he is reclaiming some part of himself he lost in that time? whenever their is gains goin on i would say you are on the right track...when the gains stop is when i reassess a situation and start something new..as long as thier are gains i would keep doin what you are doin...do you have him on some sort of anti yeast diet? like keeping friut to a low minumun? carbs? also was goin to suggest something I got my son...by brice vickery...he believes if you have enuff amino acid in the body then the body can detoxify on its own...he believes even metals can detoxify this way...he has a product with high doese of all the amino acids...i know you are nervous about chelation..maybe this is something you could look into... and how does he do with coconut oil? there is a product called lauricidin which is made from the antifungal part of coconut oil....you give this with meals... channa To: mb12valtrex Sent: Monday, December 5, 2011 9:25 PMSubject: Re: uncontrollable crying, tantrums and pain - please advise So my son was finally able to sleep through the night after I gave him 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda in 3 oz of water. Guest guest
Thanks ! Are you talking about PANDAS? I am still not sure if my son has PANDAS or not. His titers were negative but I know it doesn't exclude the diagnosis. His symptoms are episodic but I have never been able to tell if his symptoms started after a strep throat or not. This time he has mild ocd for the last 4-5 months which sometimes get worse or sometimes improve on their own. Could it be related to other bacterial overgrowth in his gut? I will talk to his dan about switching antifungal. Guest guest
Channa, he definitely looks like he is revisiting all that time as sometimes I see him smiling and repeating some of the old memories. I badly need help with the diet. My son loves carbs. For a long time till about a year ago, his diet was pretty strict in terms of carbs as he was getting it only every 4th day. There was no improvement. Now he eats white rice, brown rice pasta, almond bread. For the breakfast he is getting organic brown rice cereals(which I want to stop as it contains organic cane juice). I resorted to these foods after the IGG test showed that he is allergic to eggs, coconut, quinoa, flax seed and even almond. This happened after we had spent a year on immunotherapy for food allergies. So now I have just reduced the quantity of carbs in each meal. Some days he gets almond bread which he is completely refusing now. Other days I rotate between white rice and brown rice. I have reduced potatoes to maybe twice a week in the form of chips or french fries. He gets one serving of fruit per day and only gets fruit juice maybe once in two weeks(used on as needed basis). I don't add sugar in any of his foods and I don't buy anything with sugar in it. Among fruits, I rotate pear, apple, banana and orange. I was thinking of trying SCD diet and then he came back allergic to all the lentils, eggs and most of the nuts. Even if I don't believe in the IGG result, I notice worsening of behavior on egg and also if he gets almonds frequently. And lentils definitely bother his stomach. I guess when I didn't see results with diet, I just got tired of baking coconut bread, almond bread and lentil bread. I spent all my time baking last year with no gains so I started to focus on other avenues. But I am still always thinking of ways to improve his diet. He is addicted to rice and pasta but I mix in veggies and make the volume look bigger. But I know that his diet is still very nourishing for yeast. If anyone has good ideas regarding diet, I am open to it. Guest guest
yes he is addicted to rice, pasta because it is feeding his yeast. I didnt like the SCD diet either...nuts dont digest well with most gut kids...and my son also didnt do coconut either..but I really like the GAPS diet...soothing chicken soup with low carb veggies....I would say that is my favorite of all the diets out thier....except you have to make it fit your own child...I have made my own modified GAPS diet...no coconut...but I do the chicken broth soups....lots veggies..lots wild fish...and an ounce of fresh carrot romaine celery juice a day...mixed with stevia and lemon...I think juiceing greens (low ox) is so healing.. I add some green powder to the mix....but it took a lot of gut healing before i could add the green powder.. sqaush fries is also a big hit... you mentioned yellow stool I think some kind of liver support would be good thru all this... and I still think he would benefit from adrenal support as well... Guest guest
yes even a little bit of fruit carbs when you are fighting yeast is going to set you back.. oh! i just remembered i was goin thru old notes and this is what I wrote a year ago when i was researching yeast protocols... candidase (enzyme)730 am pau darco 800am candidase 11ooam Pda 1130 candidase200pm Pda 230pm candidase 530 Pda 600pm probiotics 9 oo pm when I was workin in a amulance a million years ago...they always taught start with the less invasive possibility and then go from thier.....I would try adrenal support first to see if the anxiety OCD is from adrenal stress... also changing antifungals is another possibility...bringin in antibiotics for bacteria should be very last...maybe others would disagree but that is how I would go about it. channa To: mb12valtrex Sent: Monday, December 5, 2011 10:11 PMSubject: Re: uncontrollable crying, tantrums and pain - please advise Channa, he definitely looks like he is revisiting all that time as sometimes I see him smiling and repeating some of the old memories.
