uncontrollable crying, tantrums and pain - please advise

I'm not sure. I recently read about "Pandas" being a condition not solely related to the strep bacteria but other bacterias, as well. ( I'll try to find it.)This would make sense in your son's case as he shares so many symptoms

of bacterial overgrowth but it comes in waves with ocd, anxiety, anger. THAT'S pandas. When I first read your post all I kept thinking was pandas!pandas!pandas! but with clostridia symptoms. So maybe clostridia (or something similar) is setting off PANDAS episodes where strep normally would? Just something to consider. -Tammy To: mb12valtrex Sent: Monday, December 5, 2011 10:16 PM Subject: Re: uncontrollable

Tammy, do you mean intestinal bacterial overgrowth?

Thanks

Hi ia,

Have you ever tried smoothie? You can add some protein powder in there. Juice vegetable + fruits? You can mix some chicken (cooked + ground) w/ muffin, cookies mixture and bake.

hope he gets better........

Channa, he definitely looks like he is revisiting all that time as sometimes I see him smiling and repeating some of the old memories. I badly need help with the diet. My son loves carbs. For a long time till about a year ago, his diet was pretty strict in terms of carbs as he was getting it only every 4th day. There was no improvement. Now he eats white rice, brown rice pasta, almond bread. For the breakfast he is getting organic brown rice cereals(which I want to stop as it contains organic cane juice). I resorted to these foods after the IGG test showed that he is allergic to eggs, coconut, quinoa, flax seed and even almond. This happened after we had spent a year on immunotherapy for food allergies. So now I have just reduced the quantity of carbs in each meal. Some days he gets almond bread which he is completely refusing now. Other days I rotate between white rice and brown rice. I have reduced potatoes to maybe twice a week in the form of

chips or french fries. He gets one serving of fruit per day and only gets fruit juice maybe once in two weeks(used on as needed basis). I don't add sugar in any of his foods and I don't buy anything with sugar in it. Among fruits, I rotate pear, apple, banana and orange. I was thinking of trying SCD diet and then he came back allergic to all the lentils, eggs and most of the nuts. Even if I don't believe in the IGG result, I notice worsening of behavior on egg and also if he gets almonds frequently. And lentils definitely bother his stomach. I guess when I didn't see results with diet, I just got tired of baking coconut bread, almond bread and lentil bread. I spent all my time baking last year with no gains so I started to focus on other avenues. But I am still always thinking of ways to improve his diet. He is addicted to rice and pasta but I mix in veggies and make the volume look bigger. But I know that his diet is still very nourishing for yeast. If

anyone has good ideas regarding diet, I am open to it. I have adrenal issues also which mainstream doesn't feel need to be treated. I

have an appointment with his dan tomorrow and adrenal issue is on top of my list

for discussion. I have to be prepared to ask questions from him so Channa,

please if you can recommend some reading material on internet for tonight. I

think you answered this question before also but I forgot what you had

recommended. I will look into GAPS diet as I have heard great things about it.

Thanks

His episode at school was so bad that I had to take him to the pediatrician

which was useless as we all know how that usually goes. I was wondering if it is

clostridia? Recently I had posted on the forum when he had just anxiety and

crying and Channa suggested that it was clostridia and told me to go up on

Thanks Tammy. What do you think about vsl 3 probiotic in a kid with his

symptoms? Would the strep strain be bad for him if his PANDAS symptoms are

caused by gut bacteria? I really am so grateful to all of you helping me sort

out my son's issues. Hopefully with all this help, my son will start feeling

better.

Thanks

www.goldenthreadapothecary.com this is where i got my adrenal tonic from...I have heard a lot of sucss on the RFA group with people using ACE (adrenal cortex extract)

write down a list of all treatments that resonates with you....

then start with least invasice treatment and go from thier...

your still in the beginning stage where you must go thru everything with a fine tooth comb...you need to figure out the best diet...what organs need support..what pathogens need to be adressed...breath....it can be done..

many can attest to coming out at the other side..

and most of all...trust you instinct!

I have adrenal issues also which mainstream doesn't feel need to be treated. I have an appointment with his dan tomorrow and adrenal issue is on top of my list for discussion. I have to be prepared to ask questions from him so Channa, please if you can recommend some reading material on internet for tonight. I think you answered this question before also but I forgot what you had recommended. I will look into GAPS diet as I have heard great things about it. When asked what happened, he says "it hurts" and points to his belly. Sometimes points to both sides of his chest. He has developed a tendency towards constipation but does go at least once a day with the help of magnesium. He is urinating a lot and is always thirsty. Each episode of crying lasts for at least 15 minutes and advil seems to help in minutes. His breath is fruity and his stool smells fruity or sugary or

maybe acetone like. Sometimes the smell is just awful and it is hard to describe. He is having a lot of visual stims and he is always trying to make everything a bicycle and wants to ride something or climb something. His skin especially on the chest is very sensitive and tries to pull his shirt away from skin sometimes.> > His> > > > symptoms were mild> > > > > > > > > > & gt; in> > > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; the> > > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; last couple of months but have now worsened. His episode at school was so bad that I had to take him to the pediatrician which was useless as we all know how that usually goes. I was wondering if it is clostridia? Recently I had posted on the forum when he had just anxiety and crying and Channa suggested that it was

clostridia and told me to go up on culturelle which helped. But now his symptoms are uncontrollable. Is it clostridia or it could be severe fungal die off or even viral die off as he is also receiving some treatment that would help eradicate viruses? I was thinking that abdominal discomfort, increased sensitivity to pain, anxiety, ocd and tantrums are related to anaerobic overgrowth from what I have read so far and what our dan explained. And also when we treat yeast, clostridia can go crazy. But I wanted to ask the experienced moms what they think of my son's symptoms. > > > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; Thanks> > > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; is> > > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt;> > > > > > > > > > & gt;

I started with nutrivene longvida 500 mg daily and increased it to 1000 mg

daily. Then I found out about Enhansa that it is covered by insurance and

switched to it. As per pharmacist from Lee Silsby, I started at a low dose of

300 mg twice a day and now he is on 450 mg twice a day. I can go up on the dose

too but Enhansa is possibly stronger than other curcumins available in the

market and can cause die off so need to go slow with it.

your son handle grapeseed extract? or pau d arco? if it is just die off it

& amp;gt; My son is on anti yeast treatment and now for the last 5 days he is

getting uncontrollable crying spells with screaming, jumping up and down, asking

me to rock him and kiss him again and again. When asked what happened, he says

" it hurts " and points to his belly. Sometimes points to both sides of his chest.

He has developed a tendency towards constipation but does go at least once a day

with the help of magnesium. He is urinating a lot and is always thirsty. Each

episode of crying lasts for at least 15 minutes and advil seems to help in

minutes. His breath is fruity and his stool smells fruity or sugary or maybe

acetone like. Sometimes the smell is just awful and it is hard to describe. He

is having a lot of visual stims and he is always trying to make everything a

bicycle and wants to ride something or climb something. His skin especially on

the chest is very

so bad that I had to take him to the pediatrician which was useless as we all

know how that usually goes. I was wondering if it is clostridia? Recently I had

posted on the forum when he had just anxiety and crying and Channa suggested

that it was clostridia and told me to go up on culturelle which helped. But now

his symptoms are uncontrollable. Is it clostridia or it could be severe fungal

die off or even viral die off as he is also receiving some treatment that would

help eradicate viruses? I was thinking that abdominal discomfort, increased

sensitivity to pain, anxiety, ocd and tantrums are related to anaerobic

overgrowth from what I have read so far and what our dan explained. And also

when we treat yeast, clostridia can go crazy. But I wanted to ask the

experienced moms what they think of my

is,Have a look at phenol issues. I believe they can cause anxiety ang aggression. Biocidin and enhansa could be phenolic...we were just looking at this too. Pls also keep in mind that enhansa can mobilise mercury (i am pretty sure it did with both of my kids) and can cause problems if it isn't exiting...we had to back down on my son to 150 per day and take away completely for my nt daughter who started acting autistic...they are both better now..also on the biocidin for yeast..pls recheck that..our "bigwig' dan gve it to us for bacteria (strep I think) so if it wasgiven for yeast and acted on bac then the yeast could really jump up.-- Sent from my Palm Pre

I started with nutrivene longvida 500 mg daily and increased it to 1000 mg daily. Then I found out about Enhansa that it is covered by insurance and switched to it. As per pharmacist from Lee Silsby, I started at a low dose of 300 mg twice a day and now he is on 450 mg twice a day. I can go up on the dose too but Enhansa is possibly stronger than other curcumins available in the market and can cause die off so need to go slow with it.

He was tolerating nystatin with minimal die off and some gains. But this behavior/pain is different. It flared this week and started as some anxiety/aggression and not sharing toys with his sister and now he is getting recurrent episodes of crying and tantrums. Could this be clostridia going crazy after yeast treatment or is it

I checked with the anesthesia department at the hospital and they don't use

nitrous oxide. The used one of the fluranes(can't recall the name).

Then I started homeotoxicology which led to further worsening. I am talking

about that regression today. My son was still considered to have mild autism at

that time and was more interactive then he was after that age. Second regression

he had when he started feeling a bit better with supps and then had appendectomy

followed by a course of biocidin for 8 weeks. This time he had loss of

spontaneous speech even to the extent that he couldn't get words out to say he

needed to go to the bathroom. He has by the grace of God recoved that loss at

least and now acts like when he was 5 years old but now of course it is

extremely age inappropriate but we are still happy as at least he is not just

completely lost in his world.

sensitivities. His symptoms have developed gradually though. He was tolerating

nystatin with minimal die off and some gains. But this behavior/pain is

different. It flared this week and started as some anxiety/aggression and not

sharing toys with his sister and now he is getting recurrent episodes of crying

and tantrums. Could this be clostridia going crazy after yeast treatment or is

it

Hi cathy,Do you or anyone else know if there are any safe or safer anesthesias?-- Sent from my Palm Pre

Did your son have nitrous oxide to prepare him for surgery? Do you know if he has an MTHFr mutation? Many children cannot tolerate nitrous oxide and regress after its use. They also have trouble with many anesthesias. Is it possible that the regression was from the surgery instead of from the biocidin afterward?

My son was still considered to have mild autism at that time and was more interactive then he was after that age. Second regression he had when he started feeling a bit better with supps and then had appendectomy followed by a course of biocidin for 8 weeks. This time he had loss of spontaneous speech even to the extent that he couldn't get words out to say he needed to go to the bathroom. He has by the grace of God recoved that loss at least and now acts like when he was 5 years old but now of course it is extremely age inappropriate but we are still happy as at least he is not just completely lost in his world.

My son had MRI and EEG last thursday and he received propofol. I didn't let them

use any gases which they usually need if the child is too tactile and would not

let anybody put in an IV line. I am not sure what does your child need

anesthesia for but do avoid all the gases. Once the intravenous line is in, they

can use propofol. Also a lot of parents had no problems with midazolam(versed).

In our case versed was not going to be enough so we went straight to propofol

and our dan is ok with propofol. If it is for some IV infusion like glutathione

or other stuff, you can try subcutaneous versed also. I just gave you general

info as I wasn't sure what you needed anesthesia for. I spent my last few weeks

reading on that also.

Good Luck

Sorry, , I don't know a lot about anesthesia which is why I have bookmarked

the article I linked. Haha. That way I have the information that I can print

out if I ever need it. Other parents on here have a lot of experience though.

I have adrenal issues also which mainstream doesn't feel need to be treated. I have an appointment with his dan tomorrow and adrenal issue is on top of my list for discussion. I have to be prepared to ask questions from him so Channa, please if you can recommend some reading material on internet for tonight. He has developed a tendency towards constipation but does go at least once a day with the help of magnesium. He is urinating a lot and is always thirsty. Each episode of crying lasts for at least 15 minutes and advil seems to help in minutes. His breath is fruity and his stool smells fruity or sugary

or maybe acetone like. Sometimes the smell is just awful and it is hard to describe. He is having a lot of visual stims and he is always trying to make everything a bicycle and wants to ride something or climb something. His episode at school was so bad that I had to take him to the pediatrician which was useless as we all know how that usually goes. I was wondering if it is clostridia? Recently I had posted on the forum when he had just anxiety and crying and Channa suggested that it was

clostridia and told me to go up on culturelle which helped. But now his symptoms are uncontrollable. Is it clostridia or it could be severe fungal die off or even viral die off as he is also receiving some treatment that would help eradicate viruses? I was thinking that abdominal discomfort, increased sensitivity to pain, anxiety, ocd and tantrums are related to anaerobic overgrowth from what I have read so far and what our dan explained. And also when we treat yeast, clostridia can go crazy. But I wanted to ask the experienced moms what they think of my son's symptoms. > > > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; Thanks> > > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; is> > > > > > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt;> > > > > > > > > > & gt;

yes i just want to clarify...I recently bought some benedryl to give my son as i have been feeding him crap food and he started getting tummy issues again....but this is not the same ligiud benedry I bought a year ago..they dont make that kind any more so i am thinkin the ingredients are diffrent somehow....the benedryl did not help my son either the way it did a year ago...

but i did try the bakin powder (rumford) also alka seltzer gold is similar in effect but must be the GOLD kind.

i gave my bakin powder last nite with his probiotics instead and the bakin powder and probiotics did the trick..

i will look online and see if i can find the liqiud benedryl i used a year ago..

So my son was finally able to sleep through the night after I gave him 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda in 3 oz of water. This morning I gave him nystatin and supplements at 7 and then charcoal at 8:20 am before school. I was too scared to let him go to school without it as he started to get cranky again. Survived the school day and then in the afternoon, I again gave him nystatin with supplements and had to give him charcoal in 1 hour and 15 minutes. This is the best I could do to separate supps, meds and charcoal. His dan said that one hour gap is enough. He got his epsom salt foot soak(thanks to Tammy) and he is getting baking soda before he goes to bed. Overall he focused better in speech session and seems more verbal but has a lot of echolalia going on. Since I started activ.charcoal, he is stimming more but overall more cooperative. Today the pain complaint is mainly in both sides of chest with increased sensitivity but atleast he had no big

tantrums. Since we were discussing behaviors which indicate different pathogens, I thought I will give some details of my son's negative behaviors. On the way to school, he cries every time the bus driver stops for other kids and cries even more when he has to wait in the school bus in front of the school. During shower, he tries to keep shampoo and other stuff in order and in a certain position. He wipes his mouth after every sip of water. Overall he is acting like the way he was at the age of 4-5, when he was more verbal but had some ocd, anxiety and resistance to change. He is even repeating the names of his classmates and teachers from preschool and other favorite words from that time. Seems like a stroke patient who is getting some of his memory back. So the return of ocd, anxiety, resistance to change, anger when things don't go his way and echolalia alongwith better eye contact, focus and some speech(kind of where he was before regression), does

that mean we are treating yeast or other microbes are growing while we are treating yeast and giving negative behaviors?Thanksis> > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt;> > > > > > & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; is i cant say for sure but first thing that pops into my head is acidosis..the friuty breath and fruity stool...horrible tummy pain...I talked about my bakin soda/benedryl combo that worked so well for my son...it soothes tummy pain and inflammation..i would think you should try it for your son.> > > >

Channa, what is RFA group u keep mentioning??Sent from my iPhone

www.goldenthreadapothecary.com this is where i got my adrenal tonic from...I have heard a lot of sucss on the RFA group with people using ACE (adrenal cortex extract)

write down a list of all treatments that resonates with you....

then start with least invasice treatment and go from thier...

your still in the beginning stage where you must go thru everything with a fine tooth comb...you need to figure out the best diet...what organs need support..what pathogens need to be adressed...breath....it can be done..

many can attest to coming out at the other side..

and most of all...trust you instinct!
