got oral steroids--now will I take them?

I got a prescription today for a dos pak of oral steroids. Now I have to decide if I'm going to take them or not. I think the infection in my tooth/face is gone but I am a little concerned because I know I can't be on steroids with an infection. Did you let them know you had an infection that might not be cleared up? I would call your doctor and see what he says. You will remain in my prayers.

Hi Sharon, Please take the

steriods after you have checked with the doctor. I have taken steriods before. I

was told to make sure that I wa not on any antibiotics. Love to you my friend.

Like others have said, talk to your doctor/dentist. If you do take them, and

you never have, do NOT come off of them abruptly. I was on IV steroids one time

for three days then sent home with no other prescriptions. In two days or less

I was in the ER, diagnosed with steroid withdrawal. At that time, I was given

an oral Rx and explicit instructions how to taper off. I've never made mistake

again!

So what did you decide? I didn't even know you couldn't be on steroids and antibiotics at the same time. Between your teeth and your eyes, it's no wonder you're not feeling up to par! Wish you could come up here and we could have a pj party for as long as we wanted ... hugs, Cait
