I already posted this but i think it got lost in cyberspace...I am looking for

anyone with info on Dr buie or the LADDERS office in boston..i just found out

they take medicaid and I am trying to find out if it would be worth the trip to

see any of these docters...

I am looking for info on tests, treatment, drugs or any protocols they

follow...any journals that dr buie has written or any one working with him has

written..

I am very distrustful of docters as i have had so many bad experiences with

them..but I am always willing to have an open mind

Channa, my sister is familiar with Dr. Buie and claims that he has been ahead of the curve for YEARS. She tried way back when to get in to see him but there was a two year waiting period at the time. You should definitely try, though. -Tammy To: mb12valtrex Sent: Saturday, December 3, 2011 1:45 PM Subject: Dr Buie,LADDERS

Hello,Dr. Buie has been my children’s GI specialist for years now. He is a kind and wonderfully intelligent man who is a wealth of knowledge. He understands the DAN protocol and other protocol’s very well and can help in many ways. What exactly are you looking for in a doctor? Keep in mind that Dr. Buie practices under Mass General Hospital – so he is going to be limited on what tests he can order and how he advises patients – but that being said, if you are doing functional medical tests elsewhere (ie CDSA, Blood work, etc) he can interpret most of them and use them in his diagnosis. He was able to scope our children and provide upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy results for our children. They had esophagitis and h pylori and were treated as such. He understands the leaky gut stuff, although he cannot test for it. Keep in mind that any test that does not require a venous puncture/blood draw can usually be ordered online – you can order organic acid tests, stool tests (with general not specific cultures) , saliva tests for hormones and neurotransmitters, blotter spot blood tests for genetic and allergy testing. These tests will come with a short phone consult and a written report from the manufacturer of the test that explains everything. Dr. Buie used to advise me to get one of our autism docs/DAN/functional medicine docs to order the stool test/CDSA and bring it to him. Whole blood cell mineral analysis, immune testing and fatty acid profiles require a blood draw. I have found it best to travel to the reputable docs that lecture at the autism conferences. I’ve tried local DAN docs but not all meet up to the standards and expertise I am looking for. I am aware that not everyone can do this. That is why I suggested online ordering of tests. I hope this helps. Best of Luck! - Lynda
