Guest guest
I have VVS, pelvic floor dysfunction and atopic dermatitis (eczema) is the diagnosis I was given. I went to a neurology chiropractor for almost 3 months 1x a week and when the chiro adjusted me, I had relief for 3-4 days which was worth it. He adjusted my lower back, pelvis area (not sure on the specific name) and didn't take any X-rays.The only reason I stopped going is it got to expensive, my insurance didn't cover it and I was paying $200.00 a month....can we say yikes! I may find a chiro in my medical plan, that way it'll only be $20.00 a visit versus $50.00 Not to mention my chiro wasn't the only medical professional I was paying on a monthly basis. I'm sure you can all feel my pain on that one! ~~ chiropractor Has anyone been to a chiropractor for their Pn and other issues? I went yesterday and he took several xrays? C Need a new ride? Guest guest
I see a chiropractor monthly, twice a month now that I'm pregnant. I love it! It has helped with my overall health so much, from pain with sitting to sinus problems. Melinda
Guest guest
I should also say, chiropractors vary greatly and you should shop around - I have seen six different ones, all very different - only one has really been able to help me! It's worth finding one that you really click with - they all have different techniques. Melinda

Guest guest
You shouldn't waste your money on any damm chiropractor!! Sorry but after 3000.00 for 6 mo every mon. wed fri. he said I would be healed and at that time no one had diagnosed me with pelvic pain. Sorry but this is my experience and won't waste my time and money. Tina K.Lee Ann wrote: Thats what I have been doing.. The do adjustments, neromuskular massage and rehab. Guest guest
I went to a chiropractor as a kid and I won't go back ever again. Especially now with my health issues being so complicated. The only one I will ever let manipulate and adjust me (and she's done it before) is my Pain Management doctor who is a Dr of Osteopathic Medicine. Guest guest
There are two different schools of chiropracty in this country (USA). One school pretty much limits themselves to treating muscular disorders; the other is big on " subluxation " causing every disease. There are a lot of quacks and a lot of good honest helpful doctors in the field. Guest guest
I had a bad experience with a chiropractor many years ago and I won’t take the change of trying it again. I am more afraid that more harm will be done that won’t be able to be reversed. But on the other side, my son-in-law goes to one just for his back. But as mentioned by someone else, that is all she does, she doesn’t get all fancy and creative, she just does what she knows best – and she has helped my son-in-law a lot. nne From: VulvarDisorders [mailto:VulvarDisorders ] On Behalf Of VV Hopeful Sent: Wednesday, April 30, 2008 9:56 PM To: VulvarDisorders Subject: Re: chiropractor There are two different schools of chiropracty in this country (USA). Guest guest
VV Hopeful, Regardless of how many schools there are the profession needs to be monitored more closely. Even the muscle work they do could potentially do damage. Guest guest
I gotta speak up for chiropractors - I LOVE MINE!! She has helped with so, so many things from scoliosis to sinus problems to pregnancy issues. I have been to bad ones too - but finding a good one is worth it! Guest guest
I agree Melinda, I've only been to one chiropractor and he is very intelligent. I don't care for his personality but his knowledge of the body is amazing. Its to bad my insurance doesn't cover him because my visits are $50.00. and I was going once a week, which gets real expensive real quick. Now, I'm planning on finding a new chiropractor who's covered by my insurance to get an adjustment twice a month...that co-pay will be $20.00 a visit versus $50.00. The same with doctors, with every profession some are good some are bad, its up to us to find the good one's. Wishing you a wonderful pregnancy and a healthy baby! ~~ Re: chiropractor I gotta speak up for chiropractors - I LOVE MINE!! Guest guest
I love mine, too! She's awesome. I think chiropractic medicine is just like western medicine-there's a chance for harm OR healing. The Journal of American Medicine recently published a study that showed that doctor error and side effects from medication was one of the TOP FIVE reasons for death in this country, so clearly chiros are the only ones who can cause harm. I think it just goes back to finding somebody who can earn your trust vs. trusting any fool in a white coat. Lindsey
