Guest guest
Thanks for the message. I had wondered about the symptoms. To answer your question about bacterial vaginosis (bv), the symptoms of it generally are a thin, white or grayish discharge. Much like the consistency of skimmed milk. It usually has a fishy oder, sometimes a very strong one. At it's worst, I only had a mild one. Less severe cases can smell like ammonia. There can also be some itching and/or mild burning. Keep in mind though, in half the cases women have little or no symptoms and it is discovered while being checked for something else. Hopes this helps. Guest guest
Thanks for replying – I have never had a yeast infection, and was wondering if I was overlooking a symptom of something that was causing the irritation. I have never had any type of discharge and it appears that this is the major symptom of a yeast infection or vaginosis. I have been tested for yeast infections, but they never have found anything. I am positive my pain is caused by over active nerve endings. The only treatment that seems to help the pain is Clobetasol. I use to just use it every once in a while, but it seems to work better if I keep it on a regular schedule of three times a week and use the Lidocaine and Estrace every night when I go to bed. I also had trigger point injections all around the perineum and vagina a month ago and I am having more done in two weeks. These injections helped the most out of everything I have tried. Hopefully if I keep this up the pain may just get tired and quit – we can always hope. nne From: VulvarDisorders [mailto:VulvarDisorders ] On Behalf Of dachshund58 Sent: Monday, April 28, 2008 6:40 PM To: VulvarDisorders Subject: nne Thanks for the message.
