I have a question has anyone heard of having an allergy to candida as a cause of inflammation like vulvodynia not necessarily a yeast overgrowth. I have been seeing an environmental medicine doctor and he did a GI Panel for parasites, bacteria gluten intolerance, ect. and found that I had only trace amounts of yeast and I didn't have any abnormalities except bad inflammation in my intestines. He thinks that the intestinal inflammation and my vulvodynia are related and he thinks that I have an allergy to candida even small amounts. So I have been taking these drops once a day to desensitize myself to candida and mold has anyone tried this or heard of this. Thanks, Baukti

I suspect I also have an allergy or sensitivity to candida. When I

have a yeast infection it grows profusely on the inflamed tissue of

the hymen and when the yeast goes away the inflammation doesn't. I

don't know if this could be the cause of my vestibulitis. What kind of

drops are you taking? I have tried oil of oregano to kill the candida

in my intestines but it didn't work, I'm looking for other alternative

medicine options.

HI lulubuns... :)

Hon when that happens and you know the infection (yeast) itself is gone we often are left with the inflammation from one. (and too often assume we still have the yeast when we don't).... that is caused by an overabundance of histamine (and others) coming from the Mast cells and they don't know when to stop. (it's sometimes a genetic tendency) for instance if you are prone to Hives or have other allergies, even to some medications like codiene, tylenol 3, etc., or get huge welts from a mosquito bite as just a few signs.

That is when an oral antihistamine could be very beneficial for you to take. It's also helpful for any burning or itching not related to yeast, to quell things down too hon. Might be worth a try as it has helped others. It definitely benefitted me. ;) Dee~

I have an extreme yeast sensitivity, even though I have never tested positive for a vaginal yeast infection. I had a food sensitivity test (different from food allergy) and had the highest possible reaction to yeast. I eliminated it completely from my diet. I think this literally saved my life. My pain went from a 10 to a 2. Then, later, another dct tested me to see if I was still sensitive to yeast, and again, I had a huge reaction. Now I am taking v-fend, a very strong and expensive yeast med. This is the ONLY medicine that has helped me, and I have tried a lot. It really scares me to think of the shape I would be in if I didn't find my yeast connection. I had to change many things about my environment, like no more perfume (too high alcohol content) switch to natural deodorant, and shampoo, etc. And to answer your question, yeah, I have heard of these drops that you can take to desensitize you, but I haven't tried them

myself. lulubuns wrote: I suspect I also have an allergy or sensitivity to candida.
