All – We live in Weston and my son is starting kindergarten next year at the South Florida Autism Charter School in Hialeah. Like myself, I found there are parents commuting to the school from all over South Florida. The school is unable to offer transportation and not everyone feels comfortable carpooling. Does anyone know of a contact to arrange for bus transportation? And/or if there is any funding for bus transportation we may apply for from the state? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you, Spoonhour’s Mom

,

My will also be attending kindergarten

next year at the South Florida Autism Charter School in Hialeah. We live in

Aventura, and yes we will be driving him to and from school. I think the other

way to go would be private transportation. There are many bus companies that

you can call. You should ask Yashira in the office for names, Im sure she can

help.

Is going to the summer program? is

going in July.

I look forward to meeting you.

Hello ;)

My son also attends SFACS and we live in West Pembroke Pines. The commute is

not that bad especially if you take US 27. There are several of us in

Weston/Pembroke Pines/Plantation area and we have tried finding transportation

but have not been successful. Maybe we can talk about carpooling??

I am the PTSO president so welcome to our school ;). Feel free to call me if you

have any questions. I'm sure I will meet you at the open house. Let me know if

you find anything!

Hi – Carpooling is definitely an option. I will also look into using US 27. If I find any alternate transportation options, I will keep you posted.
