Parents, Professionals, Advocates and Friends,

You may have wondered who fought so hard to fund the developmentally disabled during this past legislative session…

You may have wondered who searched and scrutinized the budget to find funding to cover this year’s deficit at APD…

You may have wondered who allocated sufficient funding to cover current services for those on the Waiver…

You may have wondered who added an additional $10 in his budget to cover services for people on the waiting list…

You may have wondered who stood up to his counterparts in the Senate and said that he would not put our most vulnerable at risk by cutting their funding….

His name is Representative Matt Hudson and he deserves our thanks and gratitude for standing up for us and fighting on our behalf until the bitter end!

Rep. Hudson is the Chairman of Appropriations for Health and Human Services, in the House of Representatives.

It is not often we find such a strong advocate in such a high level position of leadership.

He makes decisions that affect the lives of many, many vulnerable Floridians whose services and organizations are funded in his budget.

And he stood extremely strong on his decision to make the developmentally disabled his top funding priority.

Rep. Hudson is now running for reelection and we must do all we can to help him.

He will be in Broward on Tuesday May 24th for a Meet and Greet fundraiser at the Hilton off I 75 in Miramar at 7 p.m.

We must ALL express our sincere appreciation and support for him.

An invitation to the event is attached. Any amount you can give is okay, from $25 up to $500.

Even if you can't make a contribution, you all need to show up and let him know that we will stand behind him, support him, and volunteer to help him get reelected!

This is truly a rare opportunity to personally meet with Rep. Hudson.

During the legislative session in Tallahassee, people wait weeks to see him and he sometimes sees 60 people a day.

REPRESENTATIVE MATT HUDSON is an incredible CHAMPION FOR THE DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED!

Please Mark your calendars and make it a point to stop by!

RSVP to RJ Myers at or to DeGruccio at .
