Miami-Dade: Summer Camps for Special Needs and Advanced Learners

Hello,We have had many inquiries and great feedback about the different summer camp programs we are offering again this year. Angels Reach is very happy to continue to serve our community as we have for nearly 8 years with award-winning, customized programming that consistently demonstrates uncommon achievements for our children. We offer both half day and full day options, focusing on effectively supporting each child's individual needs through the most successful, research based therapeutic and academic interventions. As children are screened for placement before selecting the most supportive Integrated Therapy Group Program, it is important that initial meetings be scheduled as early as possible in order to secure remaining openings.

We still have a few openings available in the       *    Integrated Therapy and Academics Small Group Program (Therapy Intensive and High Functioning Groups),       *    our ADD/ADHD Integrated Group Program,

      *    and in our Creative Learning Group Program (for typically developing advanced learners).Our Integrated Therapy Group Programs offer children, placed according to similar functioning abilities, the opportunity to receive customized treatment plans including intensive 1 to 1 therapies daily focusing on appropriate language development, sensory regulation, and academic support, as well as sessions matched with a specific peer to promote appropriate social interaction, and small group social skills/pragmatic sessions. Each group is staffed by a team of 4 therapists with several supervisors overseeing programmatic implementation.  Interventions include ABA/Verbal Behavior, Speech/Language, Occupational Therapy, Sensory Integration, Socio-Relational, Developmental Play, Cognitive Support, and Pragmatic/Social Skills.

Our Creative Learning Summer Camp Program offers advanced learners the opportunity to explore music, painting, sign language, leadership skills, gymnastics, critical thinking skills, reading comprehension and more throughout the week.  The Creative Learning Summer Camp Program is overseen by a Master's level educator and provides an exceptional opportunity for typically developing siblings of special needs children to advance their own skills while learning to feel empowered about their abilities to assist their brothers/sisters. Children develop self-confidence through mentorship experiences, and enjoy becoming more self-directed learners.

A Social Skills Recreational Camp is available in the afternoon as an extension for children who would benefit from additional social skills opportunities as well as a full day program. The Social Skills Camp offers the opportunity to enjoy gymnastics, arts/crafts, music/movement, sports and cooking in an inclusion setting lead by therapists in a 2:1 or 3:1 setting.
