Guest guest
I thought reoccurant yeast infections started in the gut. I didn't get rid of mine until i went on a special diet. I went off and it came back. So not sure the vagistat alone would work if the bodies PH and gut is screwed up too and the hormones. There has to be some reason a person would continue to get yeast infections. BlueeberriWondering what's for Dinner Tonight? Get new twists on family favorites at AOL Food. Guest guest
You're probably right hon and diet sure play a large part in it....that was even that one that tied in Celiac with yeast... but IF it's a different type or strain of yeast that isn't being treated correctly in the first place, I'd think a different medicine 'might' at least be worth a try. Who knows? Sure can be frustrating though. HugsDee ----- Original Message ----- From: blueeberri@... I thought reoccurant yeast infections started in the gut. Guest guest
I think part of the re-currence factor deals with the vaginal immune system being off-kilter. If we are easily inflammed, then the local immune system may not be able to handle even small numbers of yeast that normal immune systems can keep in check. If yeast is your culprit, I really think this could be part of the problem. I do believe that you can have a normal working immune system and still have this localized area of poor immunity. I feel part of what has helped me become 95% better is keeping the yeast at bay long enough to allow my tissues to calm down and allow the over-reacting tissues to stop reacting. I have been on dilflucan for 16 months now. When my script runs out this time, I will see what happens. Of course, PT has been a huge part of my success. dawn > > I thought reoccurant yeast infections started in the gut. I didn't get rid > of mine until i went on a special diet.
