Yes, I used Gynazole every week for 13 months. I should have said I didn't test positive for yeast while I was using it. I tested for a small growth of Candida Albicans prior to the doctor putting me on it for 13 months. Talk about overkill!!!

This was a reknown vulvar doctor.

I can barely believe anyone would use the Gynazole or any antiyeast meds for 13 months. I mean I do of course but am in total shock that any doctor would ever suggest that. WOW & double WOW and hoping maybe that was a typo? If you did hon it's no wonder it didn't help your vulvodynia and if anything made it worse.

I think I'm still in shock here and all I can say seeing the above, is PHOOEY on him or her, well reknown or not...just shows to go ya about 'specialists & experts' *sigh* *not that there aren't good ones, but Jeesh it sure seems extreme to me. Or next time hon you even suspect a yeast infection? I'd most definitely have it cultured out, I'd insist on it and what if it was one of the resistant strains? *sigh* (30% are, with the latest figures I read).

I never could have done it I'll tell you and of course it's just 'my' opinion, but you are one brave soul. I sure hope you find an answer soon hon.
