Guest guest
I wish that there was a place for comments on the poll, because I had a vestibulectomy, it was a simple surgery, very little pain afterwards, healed in about a week, but it failed. And the reason it failed was because my Vestibulitis was caused by my pudendal nerve over-firing. It came shortly after I had symptoms of pudendal neuropathy. The vulvar area is tied closely to the pudendal nerve which is why it appeared. When my pudendal nerve heals, I expect that the vestibulitis will go away also. But I had to be honest on the poll and say the surgery failed. But with that said, I would encourage anyone who has vestibulitis to have a vestibulectomy. The article was written in 2000 and the surgery has improved a thousand percent since then. Vestibulectomies have always had a bad name, that they were barbaric, cut up all your woman parts, etc. It is so far from the truth – you can’t even see where it was done, and for those that have vestibulitis, the surgery should completely cure you. I think the success rate is around 80 percent, and I bet the other 20 percent are women like me whose surgery failed for other reasons. And also, go to a doctor who has performed the surgery many times. nne From: VulvarDisorders [mailto:VulvarDisorders ] On Behalf Of Dee Troll Sent: Wednesday, May 07, 2008 3:25 PM To: VulvarDisorders Subject: Re: New poll for VulvarDisorders HI all.
