I was able to go out to the chickens/ducks this morning for the first time in days. Yesterday evening I made dinner for everyone. I cooked hamburger steaks, mashed potatoes and gravy and fried green tomatoes. It tasted pretty good, if I do say so myself:)I might go shopping tomorrow, depending on how I feel later this afternoon. I have three grandkids having birthdays in the next few weeks. is turning 8 on 9/21, will be 16 on 9/28 and Kelsey will be 13 on 10/12. I bought a little over $220 worth ($112 in food, the rest in things like a new toaster, swiffer, cookie trays, cake pans, stuff like that) and in the end it didn't cost me a cent. The food all came off the EBT card and the rest was a rebate card from ATT. I still have another card coming for $75 and one for $50, plus I have that eBay payment to come in. Then the Schwans guy came and that emptied the second ATT card (that one was for $25, the first one was emptied at walmart and was for $100) So now I'm all set for a bit...YAAY... And I put out an ad for a roommate, got a response from a nice lady named Kate (already she has something good going for her), she will call me later and we will talk, she's in S Carolina and wants to move back to Fla. If she has a car and doesn't mind driving me places that would be SUCH a plus! I'll take pics of the room and send them to her. My lease allows for 2 adults and 1 child. Rob is planning on coming back in Oct for Robbin's birthday, and he is planning on staying HERE...AND bringing his lover! Talk about brass cojones...but if I have a roomie he obviously can't stay here...not that I want him to, I think if he wants to come, fine, get a room somewhere....else!
