Guest guest
Jen, I had a severe reaction to Lyrica, so I can’t take that med. I was taking medication for pudendal neuropathy. The shots I had were a form of cortisone and ldiocaine. Did you ever consider you might have Vestubilitis? If so a vestibulectomy might be the answer. I swear by that surgery. I had it done and I was completely cured for three months. But all my nerve endings grew back, as my pain is caused by the pudendal nerve. As soon as the nerve calms down (it is inflamed by the pudendal surgery I had), my doctor thinks the pain will go away. But I don’t want to wait, which is why I had the shots . The shots worked very well also. Truthfully, I don’t believe any of those medications work very well – but everybody is different, so I don’t like to tell people not to try. The shots have been the best for me. nne From: VulvarDisorders [mailto:VulvarDisorders ] On Behalf Of jen9952 Sent: Sunday, May 11, 2008 9:09 AM To: VulvarDisorders Subject: Re: Vulvodynia nne, I had lichen simplex chronicus that is a form of dermatitis, I do use Clobetasol 2x a week but the Lichen simplex was in one tiny area, now the pain is all over even on the labia majora, I guess it could be caused by the lichen simplex, but the doctor seems to think it is nerve damage, I have heard that Lyrica works better than Neorontin but I am not sure, have you ever tried Lyrica??? and I would really like to now what kind of shots you recieve??? is it cortisone?? I will try anything to get this under control.....
