Guest guest
I wrote awhile back as " new to this problem " . Since then I did go to a pain clinic and the Doc. there prescribed Tramadol. I am already taking Lyrica. The two medications do seem to help with pain, but I am still left with the terrible feeling of irritated skin (inner fold and outer lip). The skin has improved over the last 3 months, but it is still visibly irritated. I tried hydrocortisone (on the advice of the vulvar specialist I went to), but I had a terrible flare up. So I have not tried the triamictalone he prescribed. I seem to be better if I use nothing at all, but the improvement in the condition of my skin is soooo slow. I guess I have 3 questons. Does the raw skin in this area ever clear up? Has anyone tried a nerve block (a suggestion by the pain doc. if the tramadol doesn't help)? Can you live your life agian? At the risk of sounding whimpy....I have just been staying home with loose shorts on hoping this clears up (can't wear underwear yet). You all seem so positive. I am having a difficult time just keeping it together every day. I am taking an antidepresant, but I still just seem to fall apart often. Anyone have advice there? Thanks, Judy
Guest guest
Judy, We all have such horribly bad times - you could search the back archives for depressed, angry rants from so many of us. I had many depressed, angry days before I found the right treatments (and I'm still a work in progress, but much better than before). So you are not abnormal and you can feel better! Melinda =)
