Guest guest
I believe that what works for one person may not work for another because the causes of the problem are different. I believe that damaged nerves caused my pain and the meds (amitriptyline and neurontin) I took did help. Neuropathic pain can become a cycle all in itself. I can't explain it but Tom Okler wrote a post about a year ago which explained it well. Anyone with this type of pain should try to find out as much as they can about it. Aside from meds I did so many, many things to deal with it. Diane
Guest guest
Hi Diane, I was wondering how your nerves were damaged? Thanks, Bauktidljcsp wrote: I believe that what works for one person may not work for another because the causes of the problem are different.I believe that damaged nerves caused my pain and the meds (amitriptyline and neurontin) I took did help.Neuropathic pain can become a cycle all in itself. Guest guest
This description sounds just like me. I was going to address the question: what damaged your nerves? When you have lots of pain for a long time, the nerve becomes conditioned to carry that pain and it continues to carry the pain even if the source of the pain is better. I had the pain in the first place from severe Vestibulitis and the many chemicals I mistakingly put on there to try to help it. Now I don't have Vestibulitis any more, I just have nerves that are trained to carry pain and a Pelvic Floor muscle that has been in a spasm for 14 years. > > I believe that what works for one person may not work for another > because the causes of the problem are different. > I believe that damaged nerves caused my pain and the meds > (amitriptyline and neurontin) I took did help. > Neuropathic pain can become a cycle all in itself.
