Guest guest
Hi, Dee & everyone, Does anybody have any articles that indicate that testosterone cream (used with estrace) is helpful for vulvodynia or vestibulitis? My doctor said he didn't mind rx'ing it even without an article, but I would like to have one just to show him. He's REALLY awesome and has been incredibly open to trying anything that might work. www.caringforwomyn.com is his website for anybody in Northern California. Guest guest
Does anybody have any articles that indicate that testosterone cream (used with estrace) is helpful for vulvodynia or vestibulitis? HI Lindsey. I have several hon but need to dig them up and it's 5am here and I'm zonking out... later tomorrow if I can I'll send on something. One especially that talks about how the T restores lost estrogen 'receptor's' and I know absolutely for ''me... it was when I added the T to my previous E use alone, that did it as it made the E that much more effective and finally put me over the edge to full wellness. So it's not that it states used 'with' estrogen so much but how T can be effective. There are other articles that talk about T. used for vulvar pain and not only for LS (which too many have the mistaken idea it's only for that) and this one is an abstract. If I forget remind me. AND I'm so glad you've got such a wonderful doctor. Is he in our Database? I hope so. 'Night World and sweet dreams and a painfree tomorrow. Guest guest
Awesome, Dee! Thanks so much. I'm not sure if he's in the database. He is a member of the NVA, though. Guest guest
Hey Lindsey, If you get a moment, would you add your Dr. to the Database? You can send his info to me and I will add him -- I hope to see the Database grow. I sent in a few things I had of Dee's on Testosterone. One was an article on Medscape. If I find anything, I'll send it in...Take care, ChelleLindsey wrote: Awesome, Dee! Thanks so much. I'm not sure if he's in the database. Guest guest
Lindsey, Thanks for that info, we've corresponded previously and in reading your post, I plan on giving Dr.Goodman a buzz. By chance do you know if he accepts Hills Physician Medical Group? I have Blue Cross HMO and I would like a heads-up if I'll need a authorization to see him. I have seen four OBGYN's and they haven't been to helpful with treatments, so now I plan on taking a new approach with a new OBGYN. Thanks, Testosterone cream Hi, Dee & everyone, Does anybody have any articles that indicate that testosterone cream (used with estrace) is helpful for vulvodynia or vestibulitis? Guest guest
He doesn't accept HMOs. Sadly, most of the best docs don't because the reimbursement levels are atrocious. But, I think he is well worth it. Lindsey
Guest guest
Yeah that figures, would you mind telling me how much his first inital visit is? Guest guest
I can't remember how much the first visit is. I do remember it was before I had PPO insurance. Thankfully I do now have PPO insurance. Lindsey
