Guest guest
Thanks Ora so much for the full article on the PT & V pain success.... http://www.gynoncochum.ca/client/page1.asp?page=178 & clef=101 & Clef2=45(Like I've always said you are still the best for digging up research. *smile*) Interesting in the full article they say the educational levels were; ''The mean level of education was 15.6 years of schooling (range = 9–19),which is equivalent to an undergraduate university degree.'' And this as to the supposition as to why those 'less educated' were more successful and then add that it's unrelated to outcome. ''In terms of factors associated with posttreatment outcome, results show that women considered to be successful cases were significantly less educated than those considered nonsuccessful. It is possible that the more-educated women were more skeptical of the effectiveness of physical therapy for VVS, although confidence in treatment was not related to outcome. This finding will need to be replicated in a more rigorous study before any firm conclusions can be drawn regarding its significance'' Much ado about nothing, LOL Dee~
