Guest guest
Are you interested in telling your story? I'm interested in hearing it. My blog, The Body Chronic (http://bodychronic.blogspot.com), is a blog for those of us who have chronic health issues, whether it be chronic pain or a syndrome. Examples of such conditions are (in no particular order), PCOS, insulin resistance, irritable bowel syndrome, interstitial cystitis, pelvic floor dysfunction, vulvodynia, allergies, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome. These are just a start, though and are in no way meant to exclude another chronic symptom, illness or syndrome. The goal of The Body Chronic is to create a support system for those living and dealing with chronic health issues. It is a space where news and studies can be shared, stories can be heard, and experiences chronicled so that fewer people, particularly women, have to go it alone. These things can be very daunting, but if we put our heads together, we can create a safety net for us all. I have created some series which touch on interconnections of pain, illness and life. Those series include, at this time: (1) The Chronic Cat (having a pet with chronic illness helps us explore our own pain); (2) The Thin Line of Fat (how do you reconcile being part of the fat acceptance and health at every size movements and attempting lifestyle changes for chronic health reasons); (3) Clothing the Body Chronic (what to wear when you want to look good but not at any cost to your health). These are just some of the areas where I am looking for fresh voices. You can decide that there's another issue you feel has not been addressed or has not been adequately addressed in the media or on the internet. There really is no limit. In that vein (pardon the pun), I'm opening up the blog to guest bloggers. It's time to really explore The Body Chronic and make it more well-known so that no person has to search endlessly for a good place to start when it comes to support. If you are interested in guest blogging on The Body Chronic, please e-mail me at: thebodychronic@.... Include your name, e-mail, location (city and state) and your idea for a guest blog or a series of guest blogs. I'm open to discussion. Let's build this network together! Sincerely, Kim thebodychronic@... http://bodychronic.blogspot.com
Guest guest
HI all, At first I was a little leery of this post and thought maybe it was Spam...and Kim has been a member since January but hasn't posted anything else which made me a little suspicious...Generally with something like this they'd ask an owner of a group for permission first, but I checked it out myself and found it very interesting and some of it was hilarious as well, even tho the bloggers were suffering I found myself chuckling. Especially the V with Teeth, LOL So you might want to take a gander at it and as you can see certainly covers a variety of chronic conditions as well as V pain. hugsDee
Guest guest
Thanks for checking it out, Dee. I did not even realize that this might be an issue. On many of these yahoo groups that I'm signed up for I post sporadically, but I think that I have not posted on this particular group. (Even in the ones where the posting is sporadic, I doubt anyone would recognize me.) You raise a good point and I should have introduced myself better. But I'm glad you checked it out and I encourage you and all the other women out there to share their stories and thoughts. Thanks!
