Guest guest
nne Do you know how you can tell if your nerve is inflamed or if its the muscles that cause the problem? I get these odd shooting pains in my rectum, tonite I was walking and I could feel them, it sucks. I wonder how you can tell which it is- any thoughts. Im seeing Dr Goldstein in less than 2 weeks now, so hopefully I have a better understanding of whats going on CWondering what's for Dinner Tonight? Get new twists on family favorites at AOL Food. Guest guest
Carolyn – I don’t have any information, but I definitely believe he is right. If your friend had a nerve that was just enflamed, it wouldn’t take much for it to shift and become entrapped. And definitely a stretch could do this – it just depends on where the nerve is enflamed. nne From: VulvarDisorders [mailto:VulvarDisorders ] On Behalf Of Carolyn52192@... Can anyone find more information on this, I find it hard to believe that this could happen, but now Im concerned because I think I have the neuropathy and don't want to do any activity that may trigger it -if it can change like that! thanks for any info C Wondering what's for Dinner Tonight? Guest guest
Hi Carolyn, To respond to your question, When the muscles become so tight and can't get enought blood or oxygen, they get very painful and....if they clamp down tight enough, they can clamp down on the nerve and reduce blood to the nerve. So the nerve will become inflamed just as the muscles become inflamed by the lack of oxygen and the resultant anerobic respiration which produces lactic acid... A further irritant!! A vicious cycle is what you get... K. Ockler P.T. www.tomocklerpt.com Carolyn52192@... wrote: nne Do you know how you can tell if your nerve is inflamed or if its the muscles that cause the problem?
