Guest guest
Hi Meghan, When I had my most severe flare which lead to my Crohns diagnosis, my doctor put me on Prednisone on a 60mg taper for a month. He never would have done otherwise(I have Crohns all over, small bowell, colon, mouth). As far as I know there is " no other way " to halt a persistant flare. All the other meds I have taken are *maintenance* drugs that dont really work very well for Crohns(5-ASA, Immune modulaters). I do hope your son finds relief soon!. I can see your very proactive and it looks like you have found some good doctors at Stanford and elseswhere. Best of luck. Andi > > Hi, fellow Californiator.
