Guest guest
OK, I am now home from the hospital....... Dustys INR when checking into the ER last night was 6.71, after 4 units of plasma, & a vitamin K shot this morning, they got his INR down to 3.37. The nausea stayed at bay most of the day, but this evening reared it's head, so they had to give him some Zofran. He has eaten a few saltine crackers, seems to be the only thing that doesn't upset his stomach. He has returned to his healthy yellow glow (like a ray of sunshine-NOT). He was running a fever again this evening, 100.9, so who knows. He has been moved to the top of the transplant listt, so he is now #1 in the region, the night nurse told me tonight that it was his understanding that the next compatible liver that came through would be his. I guess we take that for what it is worth. They are planning to remove the stent that was put in last month if things progress well on Thursday morning. The night nurse also said that there was a possibility that SA could request his transfer once they stabilize him. The nurses have been amazing. We really couldn't have asked for better. Our bishopric was able to get in and get him a blessing this evening, unfortunately I wasn't there, they snuck in after we were kicked out for shift change. I am keeping the blog up to date, so please everyone read the blog for updates, I would love to talk to each of you, but sometimes, it just can't happen.
