Guest guest
Well I wasn't for sure dx or on meds, except for urso, when I was pregnant but with all of your issues if you don't feel comfortable with the mixed answers you could talk to a high risk pregnancy doctor. Perinatalogists are specialized in the care of fetuses so they know more than other docs about how medications and other things affect unborn babies. I see one for all of my issues and he has helped me feel comfortable with my decisions. Best of luck to you!!!! from Nebraska psc dx 8/07 Who should I > trust? Guest guest
The OB dr I saw was a high risk doctor. She seemed to know what she was talking about, but was almost too laid back. I'm use to serious Dr's, so I'm not as sure with her. I have been searching around on line for info on flagyl, and have found lots. Some says not to take it while pregnant, some says its fine, and others say there aren't enough test to know. It's driving me crazy! I just want a sure answer. If I could I would stay on flagyl. As soon as I try to stop taking it, my UC gets bad, and I'm using the bathroom all the time. But I am starting to notice numbness in my hand and arm, so I'm thinking it is time to find something new. I'm pretty sure I won't be on it much longer, I just don't know if its ok to start trying for a family, or should I wait until I have an alternative med. I don't want to take even the smallest chance that something I am on could harm my baby. I've read that some people have a flareup right after they have the baby. Why is this? If your UC is under control before you get pregnant, does it mean it will be after? I have so many questions about being pregnant with UC, and PSC. I wish there was some kind of book I could buy. One other thing. Sorry this is so long. Have any of you had pain in your lower legs while on prednisone. I have been on it for a about a week, and the past few days my lower legs have started to hurt. They aren't swollen. I do a lot of walking, but no more than I did before I started prednisone. Anyone have an idea of what it could be? > Who should I > > trust? Have any of you been on these meds while pregnant? I > would > > really appreciate any info you can give me.
