nausea

Good Morning Everyone:

I have heard lots of people in the group speak of nausea but I have never really

had a problem with it until the last few weeks. I thought that I would see what

all of you can tell me about possible reasons. I have tried to blame it on

medication, a virus or stress but I have not been able to prove out any of

those. It is almost a cross between hunger pain and severe nausea. It comes

with a feeling of weakness/shakiness and sometimes it seems to come with a

horrible headache. I have tried to do different things to make it go away but

none of it is working 100% or for long. It seems to help a lot to get something

to eat but the relief only seems to last a short time (2 to 3 hours). I don't

eat a lot and I don't eat meat but I feel like I am eating enough that this

shouldn't be going on.

In your experience is the nausea associated with the liver or the IBD (in my

case Crohn's)?

I don't remember if I told the group, or not, but I have scheduled my

nephrectomy for December 12th. They will decide after they open me up if they

are going to remove only a part of the kidney or the entire thing. I will get

to go to school this semester but will not be able to start clinicals in

January. Thank you for everybody's help with that decision.
