Guest guest
My father got some great news. We had thought his disease was progressing quickly as his number number up dramatically. My father found out he had something in the colon and he was told that he will need to colon removed because they feel it may be cancerous. Well he just went for another ERCP and colonoscopy and they think that the liver just had a blockage that has worked its way out and that was what caused the numbers to go up and therefore the tranplant is not needed as immediately as we thought. They will be removing the colon and then hopefully he will be back to where he has been until it does progress further. I am soooooo thankful to have this group to vent to as you all know soooo much more about this disease than I do. Thanks for listening. a daughter of Clyde
Guest guest
a, I'm glad for the good news, even though there was also bad news in it (removing the colon). My large intestine was removed, and I have a j-pouch, and that can also be a difficult road, since your digestive tract is changed forever, and never works the same again. But it's liveable w/out a colon. Just quite a few more bowel movements per day (6-8). You might want to check the J-pouch.org group for information on having the colon removed. BTW, I think you're a great daughter. Your dad needs your support, and you're clearly giving it. -Marie > >My father got some great news.
