Guest guest
Andi: In my case, I went by myself the first time and I went back to work after the infusion. The next couple of times, I took someone with me but only because it is boring setting there for 4 hours alone. They do give you IV benadryl before they start the infusion and that makes you a little loopy but it doesn't last long and by the time you are ready to leave, it is out of your system. Hope this helps. >>> " kxcp236v " 08/16/07 12:59 AM >>> When any of you have your Remicade infusion do you need a driver to take you home from the hospital after the proceadure?. Guest guest
Hi Andi-- I'm writing this about a half hour after finishing a remicade infusion. The worst part about the whole thing is the boredom from sitting there for two hours. I'm back at work now, and I'll be visiting three clients this afternoon. I haven't had anything other than a little bruise at the IV site after the two infusions I've had so far. Both times, I drove myself to the doctor and drove myself back to work or home without any problems.
