Guest guest
A few months ago I posted here that my husband (Kelley ) was turned down for a tx from the Little Rock VA. I was extremely sad and many of you sent me comforting notes. I just wanted to share our latest adventures because it is some what encouraging.. The VA has continued our monthly appointments and is taking good care of our needs. Kelley has actually improved a bit...His Meld score has dropped from 21 to 16 and today was 14. The doctors have been tweaking his bile duct to drain better. He has gained some weight and his skin color is great. He is puttering around his work shop some. Today the Docs succesfully ballooned Kelley's entire bile duct and it is totally wide open now.(no more strictures) I have the xray, but I dont know how to post it for you to see. Everyone in the ERCP room was patting each other on the back. They know Kelley is a miracle to even be alive. Monday he will be 60. We are trying to go thru the University of Arkansas Liver Transplant Center now, but the fact that Kelley is on Plavix and has 5 heart stents make the changes very slim for him to be listed any where. Here is a quote from Kelley. " So far I have never felt like I was dying " I ask him to let me know when he knows.. Thanks to all of you for this support group Laurie
