Guest guest
Hi everyone, I asked this question before and got absolutely no answers so i am asking again and hopefully this time, I will get some responses. Apart from the young Worth chap who was put on infliximab at 14 and was reported to be free of PSC at 17, etc, does anyone know of anyone else with the same or similar regimen and similar or same responses? Thanks Rita

Guest guest
, Yes, she has been free of any sign of her UC since she began the Remicade. No blood and no pain. The Remicade helped get it under control very quickly. The dr. was very pleased because we were looking at some drastic measures. She had her last treatment in April and so far so good. She is still on a immune suppressive drug called Azasan. This they started when they took her off of the Remicade. wife of Jerry PSC,UC and mother of Amber UC. My son has been on Infliximab since May 2005 at the age of 16. It has brought his UC into remission but NOT the PSC. An MRI in December will tell us how the PSC has progressed but he had an ERCP in feb this year for CBT stenoses and a temory stent for 2 weeks. This month his LFT's are normal- the first time in a long time - but I put it down to fish oils not infliximab. , Mum to Dan 18, UC PSC 05/03. Off to Uni this fall!! Guest guest
Hi , Sorry but I just saw your response. For some reason, I did not see it on the group posting which I check practically everyday. My yahoo mail where it appeared, I only check once in a while since I get the same mails as the group mail. Thanks for responding. The results observed for Worth were amazing. I got the impression that it affected his PSC which is the major of the two (ie PSC and UC). However I never hear of other success stories like that and so was hoping for other instances. My son, who is 20 now and a junior in college was diagnosed just over two years ago with both conditions and was put on asacol for the UC and that has worked. He had a colonoscopy about a couple of weeks ago and all is well. I was hoping for other success stories of the PSC when on the infliximab. Thanks for responding.Ritakarrielm56 wrote: > > does anyone know of anyone > else with the same or similar regimen and similar or same responses? > Thanks > Rita > Hi Rita, I have just seen your post -we have been on vacation. Guest guest
From the responses I received on infliximab, it seems if anything it works on the UC but has no effect on the PSC. Correct me if I am wrong. Thanks to everyone who responded.Rita Yahoo! oneSearch: Finally, mobile search that gives answers, not web links. Moody friends. Drama queens. Your life?
