Guest guest
Hi all! I am interested in finding out if anyone else has had their child's home health aide (or PCA, professional care attendant) services cut or denied based on a decision by Kepro , the adjusting company, that such care was not a " medical necessity " or was simply " babysitting " that is not covered. is now 17 and the caregiver he has had for 3 years while I work is now not covered! It seems to me that by limiting the attendant to those kids who are physically ill or disabled they are discriminating against those with developmental and intellectual disabilities. I thought the days of having to prove autism was a neurological disorder and not a mental illness were over. I plan to appeal and to fight this issue. Anyone else out there in a similar situation?
