Guest guest
Hi all, Just thought I would share this with you: I am Swedish, and apparently PSC is more common among Scandinavians. I just talked to my aunt in Sweden (my father's brother's wife - so no blood relation), and the reason she had a liver transplant 10 years ago is due to PSC. I don't talk to this aunt very often but I did talk to her after her transplant to see how she was doing. Anyway, after her transplant they also determined that she had UC. She's been doing very well until this summer. She now has an infection in the liver, and may need a new liver. When she was transplanted 10 yrs ago she was on the waiting list 19 days before she got the liver. She said it's much harder now to get a liver. Anyway, it seems like a strange coincidence to me that we would both have the same thing. She seemed very happy that I called. I saw her quite a bit when I lived in Sweden many decades ago, but I've been out of touch with her now for a long time. She's always been a real sweetheart of a person. So it was great to reconnect, even though it was to find out that we have PSC & UC in common. -Marie _________________________________________________________________ Test your celebrity IQ. Guest guest
Hi Marie; I guess this means that PSC also stands for " Pretty Strange Coincidence " ? Best regards to you and your aunt; Dave R.
