Dear group,

Does anyone know if it is okay to have cortisone injections

for PSC patients? If I remember well some people on this forum take cortisone against

UC.

Thanks,

Chaim Boermeester, Israel

Chaim,

I can’t tell you about cortisone injections, but I did

suffer terribly from PF a few years ago, as a combination of walking on my toes

(unbeknownst to me) to try and walk quietly when we moved into a house with

wooden floors, and too much competitive tennis. A Long series of physio

exercises and visits, podiatry strapping and lot of ice were the only cure. As

a lay person, I shouldn’t think cortisone injections could hurt psc, although

they are not fun in themselves. Best probably to speak with your liver

specialist.

Good luck,

Penny
