I gave up watching "House" after they decided that in order to havea parasite ingection, Toxoplasmosis, one had to be HIV positive. Not that those who are HIV positive are not at greater risk for practicallyeverything, but on the TV program, they referred to Toxoplasmosis asa "fungus," when it is in fact a Parasite. . . and they are always discussingMS without actually accurately presenting a case of it.I just assume that both of the Salahis are pathological liares, though I suppose that one could have MS and be thin--I was for decades--thoughI am more inclined to think that most actresses are bulemic or have somesort ot eating disorder, perhaps imposed upon them. One must admit though that this does distract us from the reality of actuallyliving with

Interesting, Anne. So let me get this straight though... fighting the disease for 17 years has made her "thin and frail" looking??? Unfortunately, fighting MS hasn't helped ME look thin and frail. roflmhoI am sorry to hear that anyone has MS but I had to poke a little fun at her statement:)

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Reality TV star e Salahi -- one of the "Real Housewives of D.C." -- on Wednesday denied she had an eating disorder but said she had multiple sclerosis.

Salahi, who famously gate crashed a state dinner at the White House last year, told Fox News in a television interview she had been fighting the disease for 17 years, causing her to often look thin and frail.

Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease that causes a loss of muscle coordination, vision and speech problems among others thing.

Salahi's decision to reveal the information follows weeks of barbed comments by her fellow "Real Housewives" that she has an eating disorder and needs an intervention.

"I'm not an anorexic and I've never had an eating disorder," Salahi said, adding that she had kept her condition a secret because "I never wanted to be judged, never wanted to have pity, and I certainly wanted to hold on to my job."

Salahi appeared on Fox News with her polo-playing husband Tareq to promote a book about the couple, titled: "Cirque Du Salahi: Be Careful Who You Trust". The book is written by journalist Diane Dimond.

"The Real Housewives of D.C" is the fifth in the popular Bravo reality franchise that features the lives and interactions of socialite women in cities as diverse as New York, Orange County, California, Atlanta and New Jersey.

The Salahi's gate crashing incident at the White House became headline news last November and is one of the running themes of the "Real Housewives of D.C." show.

Only problem n, can you imagine if she became the national spokesperson for MS? I tend to agree with you, that both she and her husband are sociopaths ... hugs, Cait
