Guest guest
Hi Cait,...I hear you about trying to keep the house clean. Mine is so bad right now it keeps my allergies going full force, not to mention having to live in all the mess. One of the reasons we haven't moved I think is its become so overwhelming to wade thru the garage and the clutter inside its easier for my hubby to just let it go. I've been asking to move to a manufactured home in a 55+ park for over 3 years now, and he just wouldn't budge. I even considered moving to my own Apt. closer to a town so I could have more resources and family closer by, but he would never go for that either. He just says its a bad time to sell and move. Which is true, but then my needs just keep getting put on the back burner, and I find myself slipping more and more into depressions. I'm trying hard not to get there again, but when you know there are resources in areas you could move to more so than where you're at, its hard not to think about the what "if's" and wanting to find out if there's anything more that can be done to feel better. I'm sorry to hear you caught the flu. My grandmother use to say you couldn't catch stuff from babies and children, and I never understood where that came from because every time I have gotten sick it was from my kids. lol! :-) Keep the fluids going, and feel better soon. Hugs and Love, Jackie May the peace of God be with you...the love of Jesus enfold you...and the Spirit of Christ fill you. Subject: My updateTo: MSersLife Date: Saturday, September 18, 2010, 10:00 PM Not much to tell. I hate complaining but I've caught a flu bug from my granddaughter and its turning into a cold. Enough, I'm always complaining! I've started decluttering and on Monday I've a man coming in to help clean out the basement. Either I want it restored back to an unfinished basement or have it redone as cheaply as possible. I put my foot down on , either he take the stuff I'm getting rid of or let it go to trash even though it'might' get a bit in a yard sale he'll never end up having. But in any case, it is not going in my garage! Did I say he's absolutely no help in this yet my moving to an apt saves him a lot of work. He takes care of the grass and yard, plows the snow, and fixes minor things. Considering he has his own home, has a bad back to the point of being classified as 'disabled', you'd think he would be happy! Anyway he's making me more anxious about moving to an apt than I am by myself! Anyway I'm skeered and that's probably mostly due to having panic disorder most of my life. I know it's the right thing to do both for my health, my finances and my sanity (staring at housework I hurt too badly to do makes me feel rotten). I've narrowed it down to two apartments ... both in areas I like and both senior buildings (50+). Both have a/c which believe it or not, the majority of apts here don't have. One is 985 sq feet and the other 875. Gulp, I've 4 bedrooms, a basement, family room and garage to empty! I'm kind of leaning to the smaller one because it's newer, has full size appliances including a dishwasher. Plus washing machines on every floor. Did I ever mention I'm scared of riding in elevators alone. And the last time I had to live in an apt and go down to the basement to do laundry, I was attacked by a mean drunk who nobody figured out how he got in the building! Anyway, I'm plugging along. Not really much progress to see if you walked in. But then you'd have no idea how much this house contains! Oh and I swear that when I do sell, I'm going wherever to get angioplasty. CCSVI makes so much sense to me... hugs, Cait
Guest guest
Oh Jackie, thank you for wording it like I couldn't. Overwhelmed and guilty, mainly because I'm the one responsible for most of the clutter. When I start it just seems like a drop in the bucket and I get depressed. I'm so sorry your hubby is being stubborn. I hope he changes his mind and sees how much happier you'd be if he would agree to move. Just hope he's not like because he's the type that won't move out of his old house til they carry him out! And there is no way I could live there. Sorry but your grandmother was wrong, at least in my case. Which reminds me, my granny always told me not to walk barefoot on linoleum because it would give you bad menstrual cramps? ... hugs, Cait My updateTo: MSersLife Date: Saturday, September 18, 2010, 10:00 PM Not much to tell.
