Guest guest
A spritz bottle to use after each time you urinate is very helpful. It keeps the urine from burning on the stitches, plus the cool water feels good. Also, a frozen ice water bottle to put between your legs feels great until the stitches heal. nne From: VulvarDisorders [mailto:VulvarDisorders ] On Behalf Of taurusrc@... Ask him what he is going to do so that you will be well informed. Don't just go into it blindly. Knowledge is power! The more you know the less worrying you might do. If you have local anesthesia be brave and don't let them start cutting on you until you are completely numbed. They might not want to wait and you may need to insist. Also if they give you pain meds afterwards and it makes you nauseous or any other unobjectionable side effect don't let them insist on giving you more of the same drug. Do you plan to have the surgery as outpatient, going home the same day or will you be staying at the hospital overnight?
