Guest guest
Hello Everyone, WOW - If y'all have tracked any of my emails recently about getting the Roux En Y (HJ) on Monday September 10th, you'll see this is the result of not being able to get through my CBD with any medical devices. They've imaged and biopsied me a bunch, I thank GOD so far no cancer has been present, but that's the overriding concern. I'll find out on Monday after the surgery and biopsy of the CBD if they still find no cancer present. That's what I ask for y'alls prayers for, the surgery doesn't so much scare me, cancer does. I just got a call from one of the nurses in the program who told me that although my MELD score, currently 8 or 9, hasn't changed they are going to list me in case things don't go as planned and they find the need to LTx me on Monday. Is this kind of thing normal? Do LTx's happen that fast? I was thinking I'd keep my liver for a while, especially after the Roux, since I thought the operation might help my liver not have to fight a blocked CBD. Is it true that all LTx's include a Roux En Y for PSC patients, that's what my doctors are saying? I was mentally ready for the Roux, I hadn't thought much about a new liver.
