I have

been super busy, and not been keeping up with the group lately, (except for

Ken, we read his journal daily) but if I could interrupt things and just as a

question...

My

daughter who is 9 years old and asymptomatic yesterday and today has had really

dark, actually orangy red colored urine. Now I know that they always ask if it

is the color of cola...but what about tang!? LOL

She is

not in pain and says it doesn’t hurt when she pees.

Is this

good? Bad? Or indifferent??

Thanks!

Any other meds? Orange is pretty typical for sulfasalazine, especially if

you're not drinking enough. A more reddish tinge is typical for rifampin.

This site has the entire rainbow of urine colors (and reasons)

She has

been taking

¾ of a 50

mg pill of Imuran a day (maybe I spelled that right)

450mg of

Asacal 3 times a day

250mg of

Urso 3 times a day

But has

been taking these doses for the last six weeks without incident...we have been

eating beets...and at first I thought maybe that could do it...but usually food

like that changes BMs not urine...right?

LOL sorry

didn’t mean to get graphic.
