Hello everyone!

I hope you are all enjoying your summer. We just got great news today. Our request to be an APD Medwaiver Provider for the Compass Program was approved!

Valeska Mc will be our teacher. She has an extensive and impressive background in Special Education, including two Master Degrees in Special Education. She has been our teacher for the Saturday Compass Program for the last 18 months and we are so thrilled and fortunate to have her on board!

All our spots for the Compass Program “class†have been filled. We will continue to take applications because we intend to grow and grow!!

I hope to set a date with all of you to meet in early August. Our “opening day†is September 6th, 2011.

In the meantime, Valeska and I will be busy meeting with the parents to start the IP process and fulfilling all our P & P obligations.

Thank you so much for all the time you have dedicated to this program. It’s hard to believe that in a matter of a few months this will be more than just an idea, more than just a dream….but a real program!!

I checked out the website for this center and it looks so awesome!! I didn't notice anything for children, is this center just for adults with disabilities?
