Guest guest
land also passed a law last year that requires ESE teachers to provide draft IEP's to parents 5 days before IEP meetings. This is obviously in the best interest of the student and will result in better IEP's. The Broward ESE Advisory Council passed a motion several months ago that would require the same thing. It was presented to the Board and nothing has happened since, they are probably hoping everyone will forget this before school starts. FYI it is Federal Law that the schools must provide all documents relating to your child before an IEP meeting, but you have to know to ask. What the ESE Advisory Council is asking is for them to be required to provide them. If you think its a good idea call and e-mail your school board members, all of them. Let's see them respond to some parental involvement. Steve
