Guest guest
Barb, Jonathon, Was Valcyte not an automatic part of your post transplant meds? I was actually given valcyte for about 8 months post transplant. Actually many of my meds post tx were precautionary. I wonder if there is that many difference from center to center. My donor had cmv but i did not have it pre and do not show any signs post. My understanding was that it was common to take Valcyte for 3 months post tx no matter whether your donor had cmv or not. regards, beth ann d uc psc 1978, ltx 2006

I think that a sore (a pimple that got infected) behind my ear may have run me down enough to give the CMV it's chance. athan
